SiC Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I stick a zero at the end of the number on the URL. Forum software sees it as too big and goes to the last page anyway. Pillock, The Moog, mk2_craig and 1 other 4
320touring Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Hello:) I just went to update the GSA thread and no matter whether I click on the start or the > I'm getting papped to the first page. I tried going a few pages then loading 'new content' and accessing again Same issue P1 first thread. Could you have a swatch to see if there is an issue please? Cheers
dave21478 Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Can we please...pretty please....get a link added to the banner at the top of the page where it says Homepage, Members, Calender, Autoshite, For Sale, Roffle, open Forum....that leads to the modern forum? Ghosty, DeeJay and panhard65 3

Slartibartfast Posted May 4, 2018 Author Posted May 4, 2018 I'll have a look at that when I get a moment. I'm having trouble replicating the other issue. I'm trying now with Chrome on Android and it's working as expected.

Eddie Honda Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Could the attachment limit be clarified? Says 800MB on posting page, but couldn't attach a 101MB PDF file. Ta
Slartibartfast Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 I've changed a configuration setting that should now allow files up to 800MB to be uploaded, so please try again. There are two components of the stack that need to be configured with the correct limits, and I believe only one was.

Slartibartfast Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 That sort of thing involves delving into the template. I'm much less confident with that than I am poking around with the servers, but I think I've added one. Ghosty, dave21478, The Moog and 1 other 4
Ghosty Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I'm seeing it. If the window isn't big enough it disappears into a 'more' dropdown. Thanks! Slartibartfast 1
loserone Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 a link to the modern forum in the navigation bar up top would be nice, so you don't have to go back to the forum directory every time you want to access it. It's slightly isolated at the moment. Thanks Slarti! Slartibartfast and Ghosty 2
Supernaut Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 I'm having problems with the photo uploader. I can use the old version fine, but it takes ages uploading each photo individually. However, the flash-based uploader freezes when it reaches the end of the file it's uploading. The entire page freezes in firefox and I have to close the tab. I'm using Firefox Quantum 60.0.1 on Windows 10 64-bit.
SierraMikeHotel Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I'm having the above as well. Windows 10, Firefox.
5speedracer Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 There seems to be an issue with AS on Tapatalk after the latest update 2 days ago. AS keeps stopping, seemingly randomly.Any ideas? Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
Slartibartfast Posted May 31, 2018 Author Posted May 31, 2018 I've not encountered either of the above problems yet but I'll see if I can reproduce them.I think we're getting to the point where I need to push ahead with the upgrade to IPS4.
vulgalour Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 A little while ago, I stopped being able to upload images directly to the forum. I'm using Firefox but when I started using Firefox instead of Chrome, the problem wasn't there. If I try to upload an image, the uploader just freezes and won't complete attaching the file. I've tried uploading really tiny images to check if it were a file size issue, but the result is the same regardless of image size. It's only Autoshite I'm having this issue on, other on-forum image uploaders work fine with Firefox.
5speedracer Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Further to my AD stopping post last week there is no improvement. Seems worse if the thread has more pictures.Tried uninstall-install on Tapatalk with no improvement. 3GB ram on phone so should be no issue there. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
Ghosty Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Currently having issues with images not displaying and coming up as a torn piece of paper and a long string of characters.
Slartibartfast Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 In browser or in tapatalk?Currently having issues with images not displaying and coming up as a torn piece of paper and a long string of characters.
chodweaver Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I get this a lot on Tapatalk too - sometimes it seems it is for a while after a new image is posted. Seems to be independent of available bandwidth. It's annoying when trying to keep abreast of breaking news I.e. the Voyages of Dollywobbler and CITW, and those threads that include mainly visual gags (/radio 4 humour) cpjitservices 1
cpjitservices Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Im having image viewing woes on Chrome too. Pic attached.
castros_bro Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Yo Mods, Is it possible to upload video to a post (like I can a picture) directly or does it need to be hosted elsewhere and link put on the post?
Slartibartfast Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Im having image viewing woes on Chrome too. Pic attached.I've just experienced the same issue. It appears to be a problem with tapatalk: uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for *.blob.core.windows.netError code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN Unfortunately that's not something I can fix.
Slartibartfast Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Yo Mods, Is it possible to upload video to a post (like I can a picture) directly or does it need to be hosted elsewhere and link put on the post?It needs to be hosted somewhere else and linked. Hosting images is simple. Hosting streaming videos is somewhat more complicated and not something that's built in to this version of the board software.

Slartibartfast Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 I don't use tapatalk, I am on Chrome.Images posted via tapatalk are uploaded to their servers and not the one that hosts the site. Tapatalk appear to have misconfigured an SSL certificate on their CDN, so some tapatalk hosted images are not displaying. cpjitservices 1

Slartibartfast Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 What do we reckon to the issues with Chrome? The image that is not displaying is hosted by tapatalk, because Ghosty used tapatalk to upload it. The problem is with tapatalk's misconfigured CDN. It won't display in any current web browser.
