What's the amber warning light immediately to the left of the coolant temperature one? Don't recall seeing that one on the Olympians/Nationals I've been in with that instrument panel...

Retarder, similar idea to the parachute you used to get on Merc 811Ds; these Volvo-powered Tigers have pedal operated retarders.

Cheers for that! Now I know. One of those things that would be plainly obvious with the vehicle in motion, bit harder to work out from a photo.

Still a bit odd looking at that photo and seeing what I recognise as bits of older Leyland but also bits that I recognise from First's Wright Renown bodied B10BLEs that I've piloted a fair few of (most of which actually *drove* surprisingly well despite their neglect)...the bits all being in the same cab messes with my head a bit.

I can see the honda influence in the design with the low set dash and the wrap around plastic with wood * insert on the passenger side. If that makes any sense.

Influence? A lot of it is straight-up Honda.

Like the rest or the R8, the dash design is definitely influenced by Longbridge, look at the backwards step Honda imposed dashboards of the HH-R and 600.

A shocking picture, but a very welcoming site and the best seats I’ve ever sat in
