A short film I made all by myself

My Mrs held the camera quite a lot actually.

I made it a while ago but only just uploaded and it features Autoshite, hence the post on here. It's a first attempt at this sort of thing so the content may not be everybody's taste. Feel free to say if you think it's a bag of s**t but compliments are also welcome.

The filming and sound is ropey in places and my voiceover is proper commercial radio. However, it contains shite.

That's a pretty good watch actually, I enjoyed it, reminded me quite a bit of the sort of thing you used to get on the old "Granada Men and Motors" channel on analogue Sky!

What kit did you use?

That felt a lot more professional than my rubbish. I just waffle into a mobile phone. That did have a delicious low-budget satellite channel feel.

Good stuff. Bonus points for Angry Dicky content, and Cobra launching.

That's great, any film that has Sir Stirling and AngryDicky in it has to be worth a watch.

Really enjoyed that! Very well put together and I loved the exclusive celebrity interviews (AngryD, Dugonganabecorporation and some old gent who didn't have his Maserati any more). The ending made me laugh too.

Thanks all, I'm glad a few car people like my work. I used a Fuji HS10 bridge camera for the filming and recorded the voiceover at home. It took a bit of persuasion to meet Sir Stirling but he was great. I didn't realise I had managed to squeeze two Autoshite members into it at the time. External mic needed for future stuff though as it took some major processing just to get the Angrydicky audio to sound like that. It was a lot worse to start with! Satellite channel, yes. I agree that was the style. Maybe it'll be more 'Quest' next time, working up to 'BBC2'.

You've made the big step, the first one!  I'll be waiting for the follow-ups.  Are there going to be Remy Julienne chase scenes involved?

Cheers

Remy Julienne is welcome to get involved but he isn't chopping the roof on my car...

You can add another fan here. That was a very enjoyable video. Hopefully we shall see more like that (with more secret* meetings with shady characters off here, that segment felt like a Watchdog exposé on us) in the future.

PS: Will we see more of the Renault in the future?

Great that Nick. Well edited and very enjoyable. Look forward to the next one.

I am made up that so many people like it and now thinking what to do next. Brodders, you were bang on with your comment. I wanted to portray Autoshite that way. Alcyonecorporation provided a good interview as expected. I'm hoping to get the Renault back on the road via an MOT soon.

Just got to a fast enough connection to watch this.

Ace! A little how I remember some of the articles from 'Fifth Gear'.

Would watch again, etc etc.

Worth it to have the knowledge that there is such a thing as 'Probefest', I had to pause it while I stopped laughing.

He got my good side.

I think Nick shot this pre Midget face interface and showed me the edit post visage scuff.

Yes it was filmed before MG incident but I showed you the slightly less produced version when magic face transition was in progress.

Let me know when you want to make another I can help with kit and sound.

I'm not being in it again, though. That was too much of me to start with.

Bloody hell when was that, 2014? I'd forgotten all about that.

When I read 'Angrydicky and Sir Stirling' I immediately thought you meant Lord Sterling of this parish and watched the film all the way through looking for a chap enthusing about shoddy old Rovers :P

Very good. How long did it take you put together?

Thanks. The majority was done in a few weeks I think. I then kept tweaking bits like the sound in certain places. It's been sitting on my computer 95% finished for a few years though! The last thing to delay it was music copyright issues. YouTube can detect songs so using certain music can impose restrictions such as not being able to see the video on mobile devices.

I've just sat down to watch this whilst having a poo and it was a very enjoyable 10 mins.

WOOD WATCH AGAIN.
