Ace weekend (despite being a little fragile yesterday) great to meet up with friends old and new.

 

I diverted into Coventry on the way back to collect things for Ms C and found half the roads closed for this  https://coventrymotofest.com/ which made for a rather good rest stop.

It was an ace weekend! Anyone who moans that this place isn't what it used to be can shut up if they didn't come!

 

I'm in Milton Keynes having a McDonald's. Even the weather is sad that it's over as its teeming it down!

I liked it. The exhibits were interesting and mostly well-kept, and they had period stuff like a 1950s kitchen and lounge as an added distraction. Gary Cox got excited when he saw the 50s oven, as his Mum has the same one still in use!

What was the actual museum like?

 

The bubble cars were good, but there were some fantastic scooters upstairs, e.g. Bond, Heinkel Tourist, Rod model Vespa etc.

Im home now!

 

Didn't actually take many pictures, a because I was too busy having fun, b because everyone else did! The drone was cool too, will there be a video?

The bx got attention Saturday morning, and after a quick trip to euro car parts with ruffgeezer, (i think) catsinthewelder and Ghosty in ghostys fabulous rover (and a divert to asda for a slab of beer for me) replaced the knackered fuel pipe and ruffgeezer and Joe got fuel to the engine, a quick filter change had it running very well!

Myself and Ghosty vulgalored the interior and made the glass see through again

Some victory laps were performed, and it drove onto the trailer by itself!

 

Other highlights were trigs BBQ, cider sausage, and beers in the evening!

 

Today saw the obligatory car driving, some people took the gooner out, I jumped in with Anthony G on his turn cos the air con was needed! Dugong offered me a ride in his 305 and we found a car boot sale

We left the field at 12.30ish, I drove to my dad's for lunch, then my granny's for a drink and now I'm home and sad.

 

Is it too early to start planning next year yet?

Bloody marvelous weekend! Proof that the forum really is better than the recent bollocks would let you believe.

 

I will try and upload MOR photos soon but there was much to enjoy, Thank you Mally and Jimbob for the free car parts and BBQ accessories, who would have guess a Rover air con pipe would make a great BBQ rack.

 

Saturday night was a great laugh though slightly too much cider was drunk, I'd like to personally thank FPB7 for his impressive snoring all night too, here's a few photos.

Sadly couldn't make it. Life got in the way. Totally gutted as looks lovely.

 

Got two crates of beer sitting in my boot at the moment.

 

Everyone seems to had a good time - I take it the people at the museum weren't grumpy?

Smashing. Everyone loves a bit of wonga.

 

I think she was a little worried that she would be short changed. I offered to pay a deposit and also to cover any losses if people didn't pay which seem to help
