I can't wait until this becomes shite

You have tried to hard to Photoshop out the AA van towing it and have moved it to far over!

I looked at the photograph first and thought 'why would anyone be looking forward to a modern 3 Series becoming shite?'

I saw one in a dealership recently in Chester where I dropped off a Jeep Renagade, the Giulia looked quite nice but I can't help thinking it'll drive like the equivalent Audi A4/Skoda Octavia.

I did drive a Giulietta which I found fairly nice to drive.

Don't wait, buy an Alfa 159 instead.  They probably are shite now, better looking too.

Haha, we went there Friday for a snoop round. One of them was £65,000! Beautiful  car, real work of art job but I don't know what level of insanity you'd need to achieve* to buy one.

I would like an Alfa but it's batshit crazy to buy a new one, especially on PCP as it'll lose value like a stone

Company leased car? If someone else was paying the lease, and it was under warranty, you'd be mad not to.

Just like the Sales director of an automation company I had dealings with, who'd blagged a V8 Rover 75 Estate on his company car scheme. His words to me "I just have to pay a fuck load of personal tax, but I'd be paying that if I picked a 7 series Bmw anyway"

159 is a nicer looking car. With this I think Alfa have tried to be a bit too much 'me too' with the exterior styling possibly to appeal to a wider buying group. It just looks a bit Germanic.

60 odd grand one is the top line job. 500bhp and 196 mph top speed. I went to one of the pre launch previews back in September, and all I can say is Alfa UK put hee haw effort into the event. One car on display for 20 odd people to look at and no spins round the block a cup of coffee then oot the door. Still worth going to see though.

I think they're 30 grand plus to start off do a definite step up price wise from the 159.

If it's rwd it must share a platform with some Chrysler yank shite.

Funnily enough I'm looking to buy a 159 wagon this week, possibly for about half the price of that blue one. And it's a nice 2.2 petrol, too :-)

Alfa's own platform, supposed to be a good steer. I still read about new cars on the Autocar website. /shite heretic

Aye, cort got it the wrong way round.

It's Alfa's platform, which some future Yank shite will end up using.

Lovely looking cars, keep us posted if you get it, please.

I love my 159. It's the 2.4 5 pot oils burner in Lusso spec. Being a bit of a maddo I bought the bugger pre registered. Not brave enough to go the whole new thingy.

For some strange reason, it has not lived up to the usual Alfa horror stories and in fact it has been more reliable than some of my friends and colleagues Teutonic cars!

Still think it was and is one of the best looking cars around and the inside is a very nice place to be!

Yesterday, mr postman delivered me a big fat envelope from Alfa with a top gear mag. Said mag has voted the Guillia best car in the world.
