Tadhg Tiogar Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I have been quoted £1400 + VAT for a full CX stainless system by Profusion Exhausts near Heathrow. That's quite a lot.
barefoot Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I have a stainless, four into one manifold & a 'quiet pack' silencer on my T2. It was built by a bloke who used to call himself Turbo Thomas. http://www.ttexhausts.com It is anything but fucking quiet! Incidentally the silencer replaced a 'Supertrapp' that I ran for a decade! BorniteIdentity Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Just had a call from the BBC in Norridge there. They're writing a follow up piece on the Mini for BBC online this weekend - as it's been a year since she landed. Finally, I get to say a proper thanks to Mr @alf892 - although hopefully the Gin and Beer did a little bit of that. I'll post up a link as and when it happens! rob88h, doug, adw1977 and 7 others 10
BorniteIdentity Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Weird one - does anyone here remember taking this photo at FotU? Maybe @egg?? Dannyk and rob88h 2

bramz7 Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Of course I don't mind, send me the details and I would only be too happy to do that. BorniteIdentity 1
alf892 Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Beer and gin covered it! that camera certainly shows the air intake hole under the headlight nicely............. BorniteIdentity and rob88h 1 1
Zelandeth Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 While I think about it, here's a few snaps I had to hand of the Mini. BorniteIdentity Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 A year on from the Mini Miracle saga, the BBC have decided to run a follow up story online. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-51565046 It's not brilliantly written, and I guess it's a slow news day, but it's nice to see a bit more coverage nonetheless. dave j, Skizzer, timolloyd and 12 others 15
Timewaster Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I must admit I did wonder why this was one of only 4 stories to come up under the England tab on the BBC news app this morning. Was worried you had ironically crashed it into your grans headstone or something actually newsworthy. BorniteIdentity 1

Expand I think it was written as a soft "weekend" story and then ended up being held back (most likely because they had a proper story turn up)

sierraman Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Saw this little beauty last year in rural Somerset, it was really nice because it was so standard like Minis used to be when they were everywhere, none of the chrome crap bling you get on old minis. Mr_Bo11ox Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 It’s a real treat for the eyes this Mini. Just how they should be. BorniteIdentity Posted March 14, 2020 Author Posted March 14, 2020 Wife’s 500 Twin Air has gone on strike. Limp mode engaged, EML on. It smelt a bit burny as she hobbled up the road. I “ignition cycled” and it was fine for a minute and then stopped revving past 3500 rpm. Strangely, my Toyota has never done any of this in its 260,000 miles and 20 years on earth. Neither has the emergency “supply” Corolla. Let’s hope it’s not a good bumming I’m in for here... Kowalski 1
Eyersey1234 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I found this on Flickr and thought it might interest you @BorniteIdentity. It's of a 1.3 bASe Sierra that as of 3 years ago was surviving in Holland
BorniteIdentity Posted March 18, 2020 Author Posted March 18, 2020 Highs and lows. Highs and fuck off lows. Wife was cleaning. Tiny stone smaller than the tip of your little finger on the floor. I lob it over the fence into the field but it hits the tree and hits the Sierra. I’m not sure any healthy screen should pack up that easily, but it’s just my fucking luck. Fil managed to split our brand new bath the other day too as he got impatient with the panel. I can’t bear to look at the fucker now (car, not father in law). It’s a burden - it looks shite, drives terribly and lowers the tone immeasurably. But my sons love it. Right now I just want to put every other window through and piss on it. Off you fuck, out of sight. Wanker. Craig the Princess, greengartside, BlankFrank and 19 others 1 1 20
Eyersey1234 Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Poor Sierra, how easy is it to get another screen for it?
RoadworkUK Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Aww nooooo. Let's hope that's your shit luck quota maxed out for a bit
mitsisigma01 Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 If you hadn't just announced it on a public website you could probably of got it through your insurance... Would it be covered for yobbo fkwit malicious damage. Maybe even accidental damage ?
