Colt ROFFLEd

Feel sorry for DW as it seems to have turned into a massive piss ache for him. If it turns into a pain for you, Ian, message me and I'll put it on my insurance and pay direct debit tax so at least you can leave it outside or something.

Thanks for the offer. I'm sure we'll get there. I'm also sure plenty of us have lobbed quids into a ROFFLE with the best of intentions.

The order of refusal at the moment is:

FOAD (or FORD according to my autocorrect)

Kiltox

Dean

Let's give FOAD a few more minutes, but I would like to get this decided tonight.

Tonka sits back thinking "I'll wait until it moves a bit nearer Yorkshire before putting my hand up....."

Right. I think this is happening, though chickens will not be counted until a cheesy handover shot has been taken (if I remember that is).

This is happening, I've paid for the train tickets now!

Where the hell does one find parts for a car like this? The fuel sender / gauge needs fixing pronto

An Apology.

Unfortunately I can't have the Colt. Because I am an idiot who gets carried away.

I have contacted DW directly by e-mail, so anyone else, please fill your boots.

Andy.

I'm utterly useless at that given I'm in and out of different cars almost hourly

I would have taken it, feel a bit gutted to have missed out because I hadn't logged on for a couple of hours.

Sorry. Knew trains needed booking and I wanted to get this sorted before going to bed. Which I need to do very soon!

Keep me in mind if you do decide to sell it at a later date

Do they all end this way?

No.  I won a roffle and it went swimmingly.  It does help that I actually wanted the car though.  If 59 guys enter a roffle for a car they don't want/can't have/forget to pay for it's a bit hopeless.

This is my third roffle, I think. The others seemed ok. I have not lost faith. It's still better than dealing with Gumtree mongs.

TBH, there are doubts starting to creep into me now.

The standard of English is far better on here for a start if you don't believe me. No txt spk m8.

You mean the ones who say, "sorry mate it's gone, you were 10 mins late".

Doesn't really seem like much of a muddle to me. Its not like people are turning up and kicking tyres etc over a period of days, its all getting sorted in a relatively short amount of time and its unlikely DW is going to be lumbered with it for weeks whilst its sorted out.

There's that, and there's also the fact that regardless of who takes the car, DW has already been paid for it.

He'll be lumbered with it for about 3 and a half more hours :)

Or the ones who simply message:

"300.00"

On your ad for a £600 car that's been up for 3 days. The joys.
