Due to collecting a very shite Astra van, the £75 75 is for sale.

It has:

4x electric Windows

Remote central locking

16" Alloys - front tyres are good Continentals, rears could do with replacement soon.

6-disc CD autochanger

1.8T engine with cambelt/head gasket done 30k ago (receipt included)

Rear light units resealed - no boot leaks

Plenum drains rodded and cleared

Recent new front brake pads

Usual Club SE spec.

MoT until November, it drives well, no odd clunking or knocking. There's a bit of a misfire higher in the rev range but it's never troubled me. A new set of spark plugs probably wouldn't go amiss.

More pictures to come.

It owes me £170 in total, therefore that's what I'd like for it. Quite happy to consider a roffle, at £3 a ticket.

I can also sort a decent pair of part-worn tyres for the rear for an extra £60.

This looks like outstanding value.

Anyone who hasn't already done the 75 thing needs to get on it before their ridiculously low values start creeping back up.

Bloody hell! That's pure temptation. 1.8 turbo really isn't a bad lump in these.

These have an appetite for lambda sensors which will probably cure any hesitation or misfires.

Want.

See the misfire, how high in the rev range are we talking?

And where are you based?

Misfire - around 4500rpm upwards, only really noticed it when really pushing on (for example on motorway slip roads). No warning lights on dash from the engine.

That reminds me - the Airbag lamp is lit, though it occasionally goes out - usually when I've just sat down in the driver's seat. Probably a loose connection somewhere underneath.

I'm in Exeter.

Cheers man, it is indeed a barg. Exeter is a bit far from me though!

But it's not far back home in a newly bought 75.

It would still be good value as a non-runner at that price!

Good luck with the sale.

Where abouts are you? I have to head up to Shropshire on the 10th of August....

Falkirk in Scotland. I will wait to see what happens with the car I have lobbed a bid on in eBay first, ends tomorrow night.

I had a ride in a friends 1.8T at the weekend, it was bloody fast, alot more rapid then my V6 although a different driving style, he did give it some welly, even so it really shifted along. It was a 2003 car and was very nice indeed.

£170

I'll be up for some lottery numbers on this, especially if it can be delivered to Shropshire.

I have far too many cars at the mo, I'm parking some of them up the road on the drive of an empty house.

So I'm obviously interested in a raffle ticket too.

Wasn't there a proper photo of this on track, or am I thinking of another car, it looked ace!

I don't think a roffle will be done and dusted by the time I need to get to Shropshire, which is next Wednesday (10th).

However, if anyone is willing to purchase the car, I can drive it (provided a small deposit is paid beforehand) early on Wednesday morning from Exeter to Shrewsbury, or a railway station between those two points. If it's not sold by then, it'll be raffle time!

Not mine, never been on track. Mind you, it's parked at work at the moment, it'd be fairly easy to put it on a different sort of track....
