Gooner II V6 - Reliable motoring at its finest*

I think it's £2 per journey. Presume you are headed to Liverpool Street?

Ilford / Seven Kings / Goodmayes trains generally go from Platforms 14-18 so that might save you looking like a tourist when you get there.

Cheers for the tips. Figured out the tfl rail train. It's old enough to be a shitter train!

Glad that I can just use my debit card and not have to worry about if my ticket is right, etc. All this public transport is confusing enough!

Sorry for the picture drought atm.

Looks like the sort of classy establishment that should look after you

Think that tower thing is the famous monument to failed gooners ?

There's hundreds of similar sites along that stretch of road. I used to live around the corner from that "showroom" and they always had a large selection of "quality" vehicles for sale.

Anyone selling those little stickers that say "mileage cannot be verified" to put on the speedo would have made a killing along that street

Quick wizz round the block. Not far or fast because London. Seems all good. A little harsh but not too bad. Fluid is redish. :)

It might loosen up a bit on the way hopefully. Let us know how you get on along the way!

Really liking the Mazda 626.

Had one identical to that one! According to DVLA it's just gone to the yard in the sky - had covered well over 215k in that time!

Pit stop at reading services.

Status report:

Vibration they wheel - worst at 50mph and then eases off at 65.

Doing 38mpg at 65 with aircon off.

Temperature reading under at speed, stationary mid way.

Aircon stinks

Making a wirring noise from inside the car - I think it's the little fan on the temperature sensor for the climate control.

*keeping fingers crossed*

It's mega quiet at idle. Have to look at the rev counter to make sure it's running still!

It looks nice in that colour

Was it as described - any other "surprises" found apart from a possible wheel/tyre balance issue?

Its OK. You can switch it off now the RAC has it on the dolly M8

Oh and for stinky aircon last time I had that issue (in an ancient FTO which I picked up for £100) I used one of those "Aircon Bombs" set the AC to recirc and on full blast stuck the bomb on the floor and set it off - shut the door and left it to do it's stuff. Very impressed with the results all the smell was gone

I have a fog machine if you want to sort the odour out - new pollen filter first would be a good idea

Top work! Looking forward to stealing it from you in a few months like the Scenic ;)

Get the Comma aircon cleaner. Halfords only do STP's one now, it's not as big and doesn't smell as nice as the Comma one.

ArcelorMittal Orbit

And this is Mittal's £30million place in Surrey I walked past last Sunday.

I've used the comma air cleaner in the past with good results.

145miles ish, averaging 36mpg. Dropped a bit as played with the loud pedal. My god does it shift when it wants to!

This one is def a keeper! :) :)

Welcome to the world of the 200+bhp* engine         * = according to the spec anyway. As it's an old Renault some of those horses will have gone awol

I really hope those words don't come back to haunt you ;)

I love the blind optimism on this site.

Big engined Laguna purchased and primary concern is shitty smelling aircon.

As Dave Allen used to say "May your God go with you."
