Cars that you forgot existed!

This one is a slight tangent on cars that you never knew existed, these are cars you were aware existed, but forgot all about them.

The trigger for this was spotting:

This, a Fiat Idea, resplendent in pogweasel pink. Completely forgot they were a thing.

Any more motors that escaped your memory?

There's a Fiat Idea lives round here somewhere. I may have exclaimed at it's presense when I last saw it though.

I passed my driving test in a Fiat Idea but was still close to forgetting they existed. See also Fiat Marea

The entire Lancia Chrysler range from 2010+ was. The Delta was just there and I dont think anyone other than the odd mini-cab driver actually drove the second gen-300C!

The Suzuki Kizashi...

suzuki-kizashi-4.jpg?itok=y1No1wXd

3-series sized Suzuki saloon, only came with a 2.4 4-pot petrol with a CVT box...and cost £22,000! 140hp and AWD though.

Apparently they managed to flog 335 of them in 2 years. (According to 'HML')

Saw one the other week and honestly forgot they existed. Thinking that it was the equally as rare SX4 saloon!

I totally would own one as well...

Some worries that Chrysler were to revive 'IMP' as model name..

Oohh! Close..... ;)

I wouldn't buy an Ypsilon myself but it's good that people still buy unusual cars, the roads would be pretty boring if everyone bought on the basis of 4+ star reviews in Autocar.

Hyundai S-Coupe.

Only when I saw Top Gear's Cars For A 17yr Old challenge did I remember that they happened.

Available with a turbo, free-spokes and a tennis court, apparently.

Seat Exeo

I has an Exeo. Base model madness. Had for 6 years. A remarkably decent car.

For Christmas 95 my folks bought me A to Z of cars of the 1970s and there were about 40 or so cars that I had forgotten about which I then remembered seeing a decade or so earlier. That was a great present!

Loads of them, they just slowly disappear without you noticing , and when you see a pic or someone mentions one, the memories come flooding back. Not Rare ones but once was everyday ones, Wartburg Silver Knight , a standard in my childhood. DAF , Lada's (which had the heaviest steering in dah world) etc.....

Suzuki SX4 with Fiat badges.

I always seem to forget about the Toyota Lite Ace too.

Kia Mentor. I'd forgotten all about them until I saw one recently. "What's that? *looks at badges* Kia...Mentor?" Clunk, whirr, clunk goes the ol' brain. "Oh yeah, now I remember them".

Sao Penza. There used to be one around here, but it didn't seem to have any Penza friends. I know there have been a few threads on here mentioning them over the years, but can't remember the final verdict - are there any left in the wild?

I saw a white one outside mine a few months back, bloody good looking cars I think.

Thought of another one I'd forgotten. Was looking at a Fiat Regata on Flickr and thinking it was a late one but couldn't remember what replaced it. Then it came to me: the Tempra. Haven't seen one of those for years so what happened to them?

The original, pre- Kia Pride Mazda 121 is a rare little beast now, as well.

There used to be a Vox Sintra where I used to live, the only one I ever knowingly saw. Think it had a 3-litre motor (?).

Also the Mazda 121 - the ugly Fiesta shape one, the same thing except for the badges.
