Neon coloured windscreen wiper boots. Mate had one on a brown allegro.

I believe the name Richard Grant or Carlo Carlini might have been involved....

I had pink ones on a signal yellow Granada Coupe.Pink twin blade wipers too

Those 'lexus' lights, either aftermarket or oem inspired by the rear lights off an IS200... Always made me vom a little whenever I saw those... Haven't seen a cd hanging from the rear view mirror for a while but I never understood what that was all about

Sunroofs. All the modern chod I see rarely has them. When they are, they tend to be massive full-length panoramic jobbies.

Also big modern Petrol cars. For example, searching on AutoTrader for cars within 100 miles of here under 6 years old, that are saloons (typically bigger cars):

Diesel 6815

Petrol 1087

Hybrid 192

Estates:

Diesel 7006

Petrol 1112

Hybrid 147

That was rumored (in my neck of the woods) to have the effect of jamming police radars.

The Volvo has injection and catalyser on back end of car. Big thing in 1990 I suppose! I was chatting g to a friend about 90's mods and I have decided the Volvo needs fingers on boot lid!

CDs in the window does nothing to laser detectors.

In fact if you're talking handheld, then the last cop I spoke to said they were trained to point it at a flat, vertical, shiny surface for best results - which is one of the reasons you're not meant to use sticky numberplates on the bonnet any more, a numberplate forms a great laser target :)

So, if you've got CDs on the front of your vehicle, like some truckers I've seen, you are kind of making it easy. Actually you need to coat your car in carbon nanotubes which absorb light.

Those steering wheel covers always remind me of those cheap badminton rackets you could get

My Krooklock, yesterday.

It used to be like the second photo above but the floppy flaps split and fell off in the 90s.

Tax in post notes in the windscreen.

Underseal tide marks.

New Transit vans.

'Sport' stickers.

Coat hanger ariel replacements.

Headlight protectors.

Y'know, the clear plastic thingies that went over the headlights, shaped for each model of car. Those were ace.

I have a couple of BX pairs and they do look good but s/h they're now worth more than new headlights and probably crack more often.

Is it wrong to like that escort?!

I don't think its wrong.

Mmmmmm Rattlesnake body kit!!!

Re. Headlight protectors. I was sent some from a kind fella on here and are now on the car. Add to the 90's vibe along with the Kenwood box speakers on the rear parcel shelf

Wavy hands with amusing* messages stuck on the glass with a sucker.

What about those highly decorated chrome style tissue box covers I used to see on parcel shelves of Datsuns and Honda Accords or similar?

Still alive & kicking in the Land Rover OVROAD community (for passing gate opening / closing info from the front vehicle to the tail-ender, and for general witless banter).
