Any interest in NI reg cars that would be on a K plate if they were on the mainland? NIW 7979 was first registered on 1/5/93.

Yes, as they are RHD and early! There's no online system in NI as far as I know?

The main DVLA site shows their MOT and tax status and I got the rest of the details off Carbaba.

Oh there is, but historically it was separate from the DVLA/DVLC (it only merged in 2014, and the DVLC computerised in October 1974, while NI remained on the buff logbook system until 1986)

so older NI cars ones that have not seen activity for a while, for some reason wont show on the DVLA 1st party checker but will on most 3rd party checkers (and anything NI that was scrapped pre 1986 wont be on any system due to still being on a buff logbook)

How do you think I found all the NI Model 70's?  (and those NI would be K reg Mondy estates )

(there is also an online system in Ireland as well, but thats separate from the DVLA etc of course!)

I’d imagine plenty that’s no test and SORN will have been banger raced. Especially if they’re 1.6 saloons. Probably worth investing in a steering lock now they’re getting thin on the ground and people asking more money for them.

This afternoon I was having a read of the 17th February 1993 Autocar Magazine kindly given to me by @comfysofa What did I find an article about GM & Ford losses with a small black and white of Mondeo K47 FMC.

If anybody wants the magazine I am happy to pass it on.

And as if by magic, someone has pointed out there is a car on the list currently for sale - K440 LYA which was sold in May 2020 is available again, 1.6 petrol base, so be like me...

Yes I believe the advert states that the saloon was off the road, and now it's back he is selling the base, which does kind of stack up as a story.
