Hyacinth is so named because her blue sister appeared regularly in Keeping Up Appearances.....  Don't know any films that have used a Tacuma but I expect I could find a Swoopy Saab with a little research...

I am excited because my BMW E32 735i has stared in a film, I owned the car at the time and still own it.

The film is due out this year, so far just 1 sec on the trailer we will see how much we see of it during the film Bone in the Throat.

'Uncle Buck' One of the greatest films of ever (yeah ok, maybe not but it was still good) starring John Candy and an absolutely battered heap of a Mercury Marquis.

Ok mines a 4 door and his was a slightly later 2 door but...

Apparently my allegro was in a movie or a TV show or something.

BL production line scene, so it must have been a pretty good show.

Tv not film, but the professionals capri will always be the ultimate on screen car to me, my first was even the right colour. The latest one isn't but still epic.

Ronin is superb for chod spotting as they clearly cleared out the local French breakers yard circa 1998 for canon fodder for a lot of the bystanding traffic accidents.

When they were filming an Auf Wiedersehen Pet film in Middlesbrough I was asked to wait and drive past when told. I haven't seen the film but am informed me and L376LMO were left on the cutting room floor. Obviously didn't have what it takes.

the Val Kilmer version of the saint?

its ok. its pretty forgettable, but as chewing gum for the eyes its fine.

any films with a metro in? well Keith lemon got a beige 5 door one with a blender on the roof for the back t'future tribute. and some comedy thing on BBC3 had a guy ride a bike into the open door of another beige metro. and there was also a metro in Gavin and Stacy, the Ruth Jones character drove it i believe.

in V for Vendetta the copper drove a facelift rover 75, and midsummer murders the copper, the bergerac chap (tom barnaby?) on that liked a mark 1 rover 75.

mini's well we have the Italian job, and Bourne identity, and also the man who knew too little has a mini chase in it.

cannot think of anything featuring an X300 XJ6.

the new avangers had an XJC thunder car in it that John Steed drove, that was by all accounts a total twat to drive, been a proper racing car and all, and the equalizer had a series 3 XJ12. i think it was an XJ12. it was black as i remember and very lovely.

I've never seen it though.

In some of the footage it was identical to my old C70 T5 down to the wheels...

Knackered ADO16 in Clockwise, the second most famous of John Cleese's ADO16 destroying roles.

Speaking of Ronin, how about the V70R which I must admit was a bit shit compared to the S8...

Can't think of anything with a Disco TD5 in...

From what I remember it was about a wealthy bloke in an SD1 grooming and abusing teenage girls from a prototypical Northern sink estate, there was also a sub plot involving racism .

In light of recent revelations it should be seen as a documentary .

No sorry. I have owned it for 10 years, bought it from Rock Steady Security. They used it as a command and control truck for T in the Park and other events. It was pretty rough when I got it so I stripped it out and started making it into a camper. Ten years later still not finished. No rush. Its fitted with a 5.2 V8 Chrysler engine giving 10mpg on a good day.

In the Oscarworthy remake of Mean Machine, that Great British thespian Sir Vincent Jones plays a bad boy footballer and in the opening scenes is chased round London in a bright red 230 CLK convertible.

This caused Mrs N great distress as it is the only other one she's ever seen the same colour as hers.

My Cortina estate was a background car in "ashes to ashes" and "is there anbody there?", a budget Michael Caine film.

MkV Cortinas in general have been in all kinds though, being the generic street furniture of the 80's/90's.

Hyacinth's neighbour had a five-door Metro.  Cannon and Ball had a three-door dressed as a police car in The Boys In Blue, and Metros were the basic panda cars on The Bill for a while.  Also I think Stephanie Turner drove a red one in Juliet Bravo.

X300, isn't that M's car in Spectre?  The one that gets T-boned in an alley?
