Lady friend hasn't driven her motor for almost a year, this is what she found when she went to check on it, and asked me to bring jump leads!! Cars been parked in an underground car park in a designated parking spot. It would appear it's become a tourist attraction that a few have left their mark on. .

Reminds me of these abandoned cars in an underground car park in Glasgow.

I hope I get this right as the wheels are a bit of a giveaway but is the cat piss tarp challenge a BMW E36?

Many years ago I was at a transport cafe having a rest and saw a couple of young chavvy types writing in the dirt on the back of a wagon. Unfortunately only one noticed the truckie coming out of the cafe and taking offence to this and he was off on his toes. The other was promptly knocked out with one punch by the trucker who was a big M-F to say the least.

Laugh? Yes, I did actually.

What's the deal with the abandoned cars in Glasgow? They don't exactly look bad enough to be just left there.

I was going to ask the same. I'm wondering if the answer is 'because Scotchland.'

As for the abused Micra, that's genuinely funny. Why didn't the owner drive it for a year though? Is she Matthew from Game On?!

Now you've done it, I immediately thought it was an e34 Touring. I'm now going to waste 10 minutes studying the lower front bumper of all the e36 and e34s on Google images- first world problems and all that.

game on? Now that's a blast from the past.

Looks like that micra hasn't been driven since it was on TV.

OK then, it's been a slow day at work so that's why I've had the time to check the rego's out on the MoT database. A lot of these have been out of service for longer than I thought. So.....

The Rennaux - 54 plate - MoT expired 7/11 Little seriously wrong

MX5 - T reg - MoT exp in 11/12 but has 16 advisories,

Many concerned with chassis leg & s/frame rot (early Mk2's are known for this more than Mk1's) so no surprise there.

Pug 106 - T reg - MoT exp 3/13 Little seriously wrong

VW Polo - R reg - MoT exp in 10/07!!!!

Toyota - P reg - MoT exp 3/13  Little seriously wrong

Both the R reg Beemer and the Chevvy did not appear on the database

Who could forget Samantha Janus.

As for the abandoned cars, still seems weird.

Reminds me of a Mercedes C-class that was left in a Birmingham car park for over a year or summat:

Sometime earlier this year or late last year I spotted an E36 or E46 saloon that was left in a multi story I often use:

My old man, who once picked up and delivered cars for a living once picked up a dusty Alfa Romeo 164 that was left in an underground carpark in Belgium. The owner wanted to put it back on the road to use it as a long-distance car.

I don't think so, the sills of the E36 have a dip in the middle.

I reckon it's an E34.

Years and years ago there was a classic cars series on telly and one episode started in a underground car park stuffed with abandoned shite, does anyone else remember this and even better is it on YouTube?? Would have been early to mid 90s

Those cars in Glasgow are ace, I think I recognise the place as I may have used to park there. The only abandoned car I have ever seen in a multi storey was also in Glasgow and it was a 53 plate KA, however it had been there since at least 2007.

I'm sure I remember reading about a bricked up underground carpark in central london with some interesting motors in. Can't remember where though!

About 20 years ago I moved into a a block of flats with a private car park. There was a red C-reg Golf II there that had obviously been neglected for a while, as it had turned pink with a luxuriant carpet of moss on the roof. Never found out who it belonged to but it stayed put for quite a while before it disappeared one day. Might have made a nice little project if I had been into that kind of thing then..

It's the legendary strategic car reserve. They were stashed away so that there would still be cool cars to knock about in after a nuclear war.
