(1994) Austin 1300 - PTT 520M, bought from the original old giffer owner with 44,000 miles on the clock for £400 and IIRC my insurance as a 17yr old was over double the cost of the car

(1995) Ford Escort 1.3L - D554 YLM, was my 18th birthday present of my folks. I immediately "barryfied" it by adding XR2 pepperpots and loads of stick on shit from Halfords

(1997) Ford Orion 1.6 Encore - J282 DCH, bought from a well known Welsh car supermarket. Despite high mileage it drove very well (until I decided to fit 60mm lowering springs and then have to inch over any speed bumps and wince at the scraping noises)
