Change the oil, charge the battery, clean its terminals, turn off the HRW.

The oil has been changed 2,000 miles ago, the battery doesn't require any charging and I have no idea what a HRW even is.

Hormone replacement...no, I think he means heated rear screen but could be wrong.

Heated rear screen is on a timer, together with the heated mirrors.

Also, if everything is OK, it should not fail even if driven with everything electric on full whack permanantly.

So either this was a one time hiccup, or the battery is indeed on its way out.

It happened every morning, so today the battery was changed.

I got a "cosmetic" Varta for 20 quid with four years warranty.

Didn't realise batteries became such a valuable commodity,

must be them damn Teslas driving prices up.

I either saw you, or a twin 405 on the A41 yesterday near Whitchurch...

There is of course every possibility it was a different Green 405 estate....

Must have been a looky-likey....

I have a slight issue getting replacement exhausts for the 405.  They tend to be cheap and end up noisier than the one that has been replaced, and for some strange reason tend to hang lower too, which does not help in traversing the nasty hump driving into Fatha_Carlo's home.  Probably sign that these things are getting really old now.

No matter how bad the new one is, it can't be louder than the existing one is at the moment.

I was surprised how cheap the replacement is and don't expect top kwolitee.

Trying to go more upmarked yielded nothing, no established brand carries them.

Apparently Klarius, Bosal and Turner are the best makes (?), none of which are easy to get for the 405 any more.

It says it's suitable for Range Rover Sports and Audi Q7, so it was a wise decision not to try it on a Peugeot.

My 405 break shattered its rear screen on its own on a frosty night, I thought something similar happened here til I saw the brick. Fuds.

Absolute scum. Can't leave anything nowadays without the fear of some lowlife damaging it, or having it away completely.
