I remember it being deployed at the NEC Classic Motor Show one year, but they all blur into one, so I've no idea which year it was. Was definitely still with the North West contingent I think.

Don't worry, it's well known people from the North East do not understand the theory behind perspective.

Gravitational pull is stronger further North.

The North is also higher up, therefore further away.  Curvature of the earth has a part to play in the optical illusion too.  Greggs has a more local distortion effect that can make things appear wider than they are.
