That should restore the balance a bit.

It is and trust me, I won't be able to scrap it quick enough.

Is it that bad?

1) It's a Ford

2) It's a Focus

3) It's a diesel

4) It's a Ford Focus diesel

It (badly) needs a wheel bearing and it badly needs an industrial jetting company to come and clean it inside/out.

You are going on holiday soon yes? I bet the neighbours had a whip round and paid for the holiday in the mistaken belief that it might stop you buying anymore cars for a while. How wrong they were.

That looks tidy, well externally anyway and estates have usefulness built in.

OK, this might be good timing, my landlady loves her 04 plate diesel Focus estate, however it's just met an unfortunate end involving a garden wall and a neighbour starting his car, which turned out to be in gear, by reaching in through the driver's window.  Apparently it's probably going to be written off and I've been asked to find a replacement.

She uses it as a van so as long as it's not dreadful it might be of interest.

Nice Focus. How much would you be looking for it, Ma is looking for a replacement.

Sorry.....sold.

*Fifty yards away, to next-door-neighbour-but-one's-house. This car has starred in previous council garage door photographs.

I've always liked Omega's for some reason. Not enough to buy it obviously.

The 2.2 dti is a diesel isn't it as they confusingly also did a 2.2 petrol?

Officer Billy joins Police Interceptorz and goes looking for people driving Corsas who will definitely get their car confiscated. And sold.

Yes, I think they had the same engines (2.2 pez and DERV) in the Vec B for a while, too.

These are nice cars!!

Can someone super impose a young Vanessa Paradis next to it please. I bet she would love to dance all over this...

Sweet purchasage Billy, I'm almost tempted to chuck some Insurance money at you in exchange fae this, but an M-reg Black Mercedes estate is calling.

I think the diesel 2.2 is the one by Isuzu.

I've always wanted one of these, but in the same way I've always wanted a wheelchair.

Actually, just to really help* I think the Vectra C had either 1.9, 2.0, 2.2 or 3.0 diesel engines (and differing variants of the 1.9) as well as 1.8, 2.2 and 2.8 petrols.

Anyhow, I've noticed the speedo doesn't work and the ABS light is on (common fault, Google) and there's a small crack in the bottom right of the windscreen. Bonus good set of tyres and BFO battery that looks like it'd start 17 ERFs at the same time.

The 2.0 and 2.2 dti are both Vauxhalls own engine and nowt to do with Isuzu . Damn good strong engines but let down by tossy German Bosch injection pumps . Leak off pipes and injector seals ( easy job) are all that seems to go wrong on them

I was going to say exactly the same- those DTi engines are very good apart from the box of tricks on top of the Bosch pump.. I think there was a modified pump available to kerb the early failures but who knows of it has one of those now.

I had an Omega V6.  It was a great car once you'd learnt about the V's 'foibles' :D  No such trouble here of course.

I really like Omegas, having driven several of them when they were brand new, when I briefly worked as a car delivery driver in 2002. The 3.2 V6 petrol with manual transmission is particularly rapid :-D
