Top work Mister Peas.

I will probably be told off for it, but if you like I'll volunteer SWMBO for painting duties.  She really enjoyed* painting the last 25 we bought her mother (from this very forum, IIRC)

She's bloody good at painting is your MBO. Thanks very much for the offer, but it's not really the weather for it at the moment. Like I say, I'll probanly change the bumper eventually anyway, and might touch in the wing tip with a paint pen. Or red Biro.

Well done Mr Peas. Lucky you have a nice and friendly spanner monkey

I izz spotted locale of MrFixxitSpannaman....

Seems an incredibly small plot to run a business (car sized) out of... more suited to a Fish&Chip shop!!

Where does he hide the seriously tasty 'older chod' I see outside often..??

Well done on the fix... laughed when I saw yrr washer bottle 'exposed'... nae BleachBottle yet then....

My money was on it being some mackem scratter ;-)

Glad you saved it.

Leave the paint until spring, then sample some of halfords finest rattle cans.

I'm so glad to see the 25 lives another day.

The repair looks great and it looks like everything lines up nice So come spring once it warms up a coat of primer paint and lacquer will bring it up looking as good as new.

But being Autoshite I was hoping to see a metallic green bumper and a jewish racing gold wing on your pride and joy with a mismatched alloy bolted on rather than seeing a car all in one colour as it's just not Autoshite otherwise and you really should of used a bleach bottle and cable ties for the washer bottle, this place ain't what it was lol.

I was driving in some 60s multi-storey car park in Ramsgate the other day and when I came around the bend and saw a massive concrete wall which was supposed to act as a kerb I thought of your poor little Rover. These old car parks aren't designed for a modern car that's for sure.

There's one in Leicester that was opened in the 70s and clearly designed for Minis and shit. Taking a new Focus round there you need 8 eyes on stalks and rear wheel steering.

But it's the cheapest, so I persevere.

I like this just the way it is.

You may find that you could get the wing and bumper in the correct colour really cheap on eBay,

And seeing that the car is back up and running your not going to have to be in a hurry so you could wait for bidding bargain.

I did it on my old A4 as the rear bumper was scratched and badly scuffed and just waited for one to come up cheap in the correct colour, it was a lot cheaper than getting a repaint (£25 delivered) and the colour match was perfect because it was old paint so you would never know the bumper had been off the car.

How's the old RUVVER running, Sir Ship-pleaz?

Posted

Fine man. It's splitting daily duties with the 305 at the moment. I was pondering selling it, but think I'll keep it.

Probably needs a new tps as the idle wanders sometimes. Should probably sort that out.

Good to hear this. Would be tempted if you ever were to sell it, keep it in the Autoshite fold etc.

Sometimes the drive to work at 06:00 is uneventful.

Then sometimes

Mounting the kerb for better access was obv a mistake.

I had just pulled up for inspection.

Only noticed it blowing a couple of days ago.

That'll be a new centre section and back box required then!

Shouldn't grumble. It's a faultless daily. And the acceleration always makes me grin.

Speak up mate, you sound all muffled.

I'm impressed. Is this rover's version of the touring car type self jacking system?
