Obscure one:

MGF uses Ford Mondeo  brake / clutch cross shaft bearings.

Manufactured by INA, but off tooling owned by Ford.

Rover paid a royalty of 10p per bearing supplied!

The Jensen Healey had loads of Vauxhall Viva in it.  I remember seeing a bus on Malta that I am sure had Vauxhall Viva headlights and of course, though it isn't quite the same, a few years back every hot rod had Viva front suspension.

The facelift Peugeot 405 with A/C shares the heater motor with the Range Rover P38.

Lotus Europa uses Renault 16 engine and gearbox.

De Tomaso Longchamp uses Granada MK1 headlights.

Most early Daf cars 33/44/55/66 use bl brake parts wheel cylinders & shoes even have Mowog stamp on them.

Many other parts as well

The Aston Martin in the original post looks like it has the same electric door mirror control switch as my 2009 Clio and thus most Renault's made since the mk1 Megane was launched.

Mini and Land Rover indicator and sidelights were borrowed from Darleks. BLMC used to pay Davros 3 shillings royalty for each car.

Callaway C12 shares taillights with the Opel Tigra, so does an Invicta S1 with a VW Passat. The taillights of an RS 200 are the parts you'll most likely see of it, and they are from a Sierra, as is the windscreen, whereas the taillights of a Lotus Esprit S4 come from a Hachiroku. Replacement taillights for a Noble M400 can be bought at the friendly Hyundai dealer, they are from a Sonata. The last ever Pontiac Trans Ams were raided for the rearward illumination of the new Weinermobiles.

McLaren F1 mirrors were nicked from the VW Corrado parts bin, Aston Martin went all the way to Göteborg to pinch Ovlov V70 mirrors for the DBS.

The first Dodge Vipers had Mitsubushi 3000GT wing mirrors, VW fog lights, and a Ford headlight switch.

Focus ST donates headlights for the SSC Ultimate Aero, the Lamborghini Diablo and Nissan R390 illuminate the road ahead with Nissan 300ZX units.

However, this parts sharing business between car manufacturers is nothing new and has been done since the dawn of the automobile.

Where it becomes fraudulent IMO, is when badge engineered VWs are sold for Bentley prices.

Or when VW sells its proudly* made* in* Germany* Up! model variously as a Seat Mii and Skoda CitiGo, all coming from the same factory in Slovakia.

Or when VW prices it's Up! just under €10,000, but you can't buy it at that price, because you have to pay extra for each available paint colour.

Numerous executions of search warrants and subsequent lawsuits against said company prove that I have a point.

The gearbox internals on an Amphicar are the same as the Porsche 356. Brakes are Mercedes too.

Suzuki Ignis seems to have "those stalks" from Vauxhall that they used in mk3 Cav, Corsa B/C etc.

I'm sure the in tank fuel pump on a Rover 75 is the same as a Peugeot 406.

The Pagani Zonda shares it's climate control system with the Rover 45.

Was it the Lotus Elan M100 that used Renault Alpine GTA rear lights because Peter Stevens liked the look of them when he saw them on TV in an episode of Howard's Way?

I think the FX4 has drums front and rear. The Interceptor used a Moggy Minor dipswitch though.

Lambo Miura headlights were the same as in the Fiat 850 Spyder.

I am sure that the Italian supercar genus has much of its DNA in the humble Fiat.

The x1/9 shares it's boot/ engine cover levers with the countach, it's door handles with the stratos and it's rear lights with early esprits.

It said FX4 on the brake pad box. Also said Rover 2200 and I think, Maxi.

Nearly every component of Disco 3/4, including the engines, from Ford (with a bit of help from Pug on the V6 lump)
