Post 2000 cars you don't see anymore

Mk1 Saxos, especially the sporty ones.

If I can find a decent standard one I might squirrel it away for a few years, the value is going to rocket in the next few years.

I can't agree with you there Junkman.

There is some cool desirable stuff on that list on just the same way that there was some awful soulless rubbish produced in the 70s 80s and 90s.

It is the car not the era that matters to me.

This.

Plenty of pre 2000 cars were mass produced white goods on wheels as well.

Each to their own and all that but personally I find an Avantime interesting whereas a Morris Minor offers nothing of interest to me.   The very fact that something is old or produced before a certain date does not make it any good. Similarly I don't buy into the 'all new cars are shit' mantra either, theres plenty of interesting new(ish) cars around.

Alfa 166,but did you ever see many?

There were three at one point, in this not especially affluent corner of Staffordshire.  All gone now.

Give it ten years and we'll be running them...

Where have all the omega's gone?

All seem to have disappeared, I really cannot remember when I last saw a first gen example on the road.

I see more Rover 800s now than Omegas. There is an S reg estate that lives in Cheltenham with very frilly rear arches.

Where in Staffordshire are you from? Only last week I was following a 166 that was being towed by the AA

Seem to see a wide mix of stuff round my way. Lots of Rovers, including 75 flavour. Not seen a Proton for donkeys years.

Is it only my impression, or are e39 5-Series Bimmers getting thin on the grounds?

I see at least one nearly every day!

The early 2000s Shogun and Shogun Pinin seem to have evaporated around these parts....

Haven't seen a non Picarsehole Xsara in a while, nor a Saxo of any sort. On the other hand there's a delitfully mingebag and very tidy mid 90s red Escort that I see quite regularly. Apart from that though, most of the early 2000s motors are on the endangered list.

Rovers have survived remarkably well, which is pretty good going considering they went bust 9 years ago.

I'm struggling with this thread as, and this always happens, I don't notice common cars disappearing until I stumble upon a derelict example 10 years later.

Dont seem to see many Honda Civics (2000 - 2006 - gearstick in the dashboard) models, or early Mazda 3s (especially the stubby saloon variant) anymore.

How about the Peugeot 1007..

I guess a cumbersome sliding door containing post 2000 French electrics was never going to be a winner.

Protons seem to be very thin on the ground around here, only ever see the odd Jumbuck now

The architectural wonder and cultural gem that is Cannock  :)

How about the Peugeot 1007...

Saw one yesterday in Wednesfield, failing to extricate itself from a parking space of perfectly adequate size...
