clutch cable disengages every so often. ( pull pedal up and it's fine again) ( common problem).

Anyone here know of this 'common problem'? Is it really just a clutch cable required?

Can only be collected at WEEKEND !

I'm away next weekend :(

Can't see they'll ever be cheaper than this. MOT Oct. Black leather interior. No cumpreshun. £250. Fella local to me (mid Cornwall) who deals in J imports selling it; it's gone onto social media so I can't see it being around for very long at all...

Did say weekend but not which weekend. I think dieselnutjobs one did the same re: clutch pedal.

Looks very worthy for the price. Send the bloke a message about collection, you never know. That could be a massive barg.

I messaged the chap and it all sounded ace (and seller sounded decent) - new clutch and exhaust last year plus the previous owner wax-oiled it so no rust. The listing asked for bidders to make contact first - so I responded asking if anything else was needed or if my initial contact was sufficient to make me a 'valid bidder'. Unfortunately we then had to scoot up the M6 to collect our daughter from her respite stay - and by the time I could check my messages again the Ulysse had sold. :(  Wish I'd just jumped in and hit the BIN button. Never mind. I'm sure the buyer will have a bit of a bargain there.

EDIT: And yes - I asked if it was a specific weekend or just any to be sure :)

I have got the ex dieselnutjobs 806 and the bloody thing still occasionally plays up with the clutch. New master and slave cylinders and every now and again it drops the fluid and no clutch. It does my head in but other than that a great car. If anyone really wants one of these old buses let me know as I buy the odd one or two. I just sold a 2001 synergie with a years ticket for £500. I didnt bother trying to sell it on here as I didn't think there would be any interest

Cheers Panhandle. I'm a bit of a flibberty-gibbert with these - I don't need one but would like to try out a 1.9td* if it was cheap enough - as this Ulysse seemed to be. Also - sad I know - it has to be a pre-facelift example to please my eye (yep - I'm weird). Preferably a Synergie, then Ulysse, then 806 (again , twisted aesthetics).

*2.1td would be nice to try - but were they ever imported?

Will he swap a rusty MX5 for it? :P

MOT 'til December. I reckon these must be disappearing rapidly. Not sure this is the one to save, but anyway, meets the needs of this thread.

Have a bit of a soft spot for them, my brother had one in 85SX flavour many moons ago, and was nippy and fun like a small fiat should be.

Such a good looking car too, I agree they may well end up big money when none are left.

No we never got the 2.1 or for that matter the twin turbo HDi or V6 that were available in mk2s. Usually Lancias, which of course we never got anyway.

I had an R reg 1.9td EL Ulysee and a Y reg 2.0 JTD EL both were 12 month old ex- Fiat Management* cars, in reality ex Europcar daily rental. The 1.9 was brilliant and I wish I'd never traded it in after 3 years for the HDI. The HDI was faster a tiny bit more economical and had aircon which my 1.9 didn't have. But it had loads of fuel pump problems and the cambelt fell off when the top pulley bolt fell out at 30,000 miles- luckily under warranty.

I looked at the Mk2 in about 2004 and thought they'd got so flimsy and fragile That I bought a Galaxy.

I saw this one on eBay when I was after a big estate a couple of weeks ago but it looked too scummy and smelly!

I've always kind of liked the idea of an XUD-engined 806/Synergie/Ulysse to smoke about in (literally) while carrying loads of random shit. Obviously, it would be a tweaked XUD running on veg, naturally.

That's nice!  Not very much info in the ad though, especially not how much MoT.  Aha, that's why, only a month left.

Never realised those were hatchbacks. Nice...ish.

There was the 4 door saloon, the 5 door hatch, the 3 door hatch aka Persona Compact, and I believe there was also a 2 door coupe, unless I imagined it!  There was even a pickup, that we know as Jumbuck, although they seem to have forgotten to make an estate among all that lot!

There is indeed a coupe version. Me and 17-Coffees were eyeing up one in Fife long before we ended up with the 316.

Someone on here really should have a Leganza!  Sadly it won't be me just yet.  I'm not going all the way to Devon for one, even at that price.
