Ive been looking at supercharged jags (against the Kompressors) but the MPG would just cripple me as a daily. The Mercs 230s manage well over 30 local, the jags sub-20.  I know its a trade-off, but that kind of fuel cost rules one out really.

These Preludes are epic!!!

 

Had one as my daily for 7 years,absolutely loved it.

 

The only trouble I had with mine was the coil in the distributor failed one morning going to work.

Cannabilsed a civic distrib I had at work,less than an hours tinkering had it running sweetly again.

 

They sound fantastic when the Vtec kicks in.

I want that Prelude. I used to drive a lot of them for the local Honda dealer and I loved them. The 2.2 goes well and has 4ws and that futuristic dash is the dogs bollocks.

What about an Accord Type R? I'm sure you could bag one in budget and they are highly regarded by all accounts. In fact this guy has set his reserve at £1500, and this appears to be a good one!

Another vote for a 9-5 Aero. Great cars and fantastic when the turbo kicks in. 9000 Aeros are also great, but easier to find a 9-5.
