Midlife crisis on a budget.

Who among us does not enjoy role play?

Whether it be dressing up as a dog for submissive sex at that car park in the woods, or reading Autotrader on the bog and marveling at what you could afford if your wife died and the insurance paid out. We all do it.

So roll your thirteen sided dice and immerse yourself in THIS fictional world:

You are a 37 year old handsome northerner with level 7 bartering and level 8 crossbow skills.

You have £1500 coins (or golds) to spend on powerful car that will make you feel better than all the other Elfs (or Orcs, or Robots).

130bhp bare minimum. The more ponies for the pound, the better. MPG must balance near the 30 turnip mark.

My Our fictional hero's current wish list includes a Primera Gt Charriot and a CLK Kompressor Trooperwaggon.

What else say you band of merry brigands!?

Telleth your tales of powerful shite!

An XJR would also fit the bill, assuming you don't mind the gearbox making decisions for you - in budget and way over the HP requirement.

Ive been looking at supercharged jags (against the Kompressors) but the MPG would just cripple me as a daily. The Mercs 230s manage well over 30 local, the jags sub-20.  I know its a trade-off, but that kind of fuel cost rules one out really.

Honda Prelude 2.2 Vtec with a movable stick poking out the central area of the floor and turney aft circles.: £1495

That should go very well indeed.

These Preludes are epic!!!

Had one as my daily for 7 years, absolutely loved it.

The only trouble I had with mine was the coil in the distributor failed one morning going to work.

Cannabilsed a civic distrib I had at work, less than an hours tinkering had it running sweetly again.

They sound fantastic when the Vtec kicks in.

I still have mine tucked up in the shed :-D

I want that Prelude. I used to drive a lot of them for the local Honda dealer and I loved them. The 2.2 goes well and has 4ws and that futuristic dash is the dogs bollocks.

A lad i use to work with had a Prelude for around 8-9 years and almost 300K when he sold it on.

That Type R Accord looks the dogs danglies IMO, something really smartabout a fast, bodykitted kinda lairy looking cool erm usually not cool old mans pipe and slippers mobile, in much the same way as a mk1 Zafira GSi

There's a Celica 2.0 GT, a CLK320 Mercedes and a 2.8 V6 Quattro A4 on the blue forum all sub £800, one of these would fit the bill too I suspect

Just went on eBay for a little under a bag. It has a red leather interior, perfect for enticing prospective conquests.

Spend the change on imported cigarettes and paisley cravats.

Only option, Rover 220 Coupe Turbo.

The world's most immaculate MG Maestro. What it lacks in BHP it makes up for in Maestro.

^^^^ Good call, I thought the Maestro would have left our £1500 budget by now.
