Rocket88 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 After a brief hiatus [due to a knackered ignition barrel] I HAZ VELOUR. Acres of slightly mismatched browness.............. DVee8, Craig the Princess, Cavcraft and 17 others 20
HMC Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Lovely!! It's in the forum colours too! Dunno why but modern manufacturers seem to have forgotten how to do comfy velourious interiors eddyramrod 1
UmBongo Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Cool! And if someone pukes up in there you won't even see it. Although the smell may linger...
eddyramrod Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 OI! Manufacturers! THAT is how you do a luxury interior! Fucking pay attention, will you! That looks so cosy and inviting, and I don't even like beige... Twiggy and Asimo 2
Pillock Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I've got a mental image of sitting in the drivers seat and just disappearing slowly into the seat like QuickVelour. Maybe the previous owner is still in there.... Twiggy 1
Alexg Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Wow, big Vauxhall/Opel interiors from this era are some of my favourite ever. Beautiful
trigger Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I want to make love on your seats. mat_the_cat 1
wuvvum Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I want to make love to your seats. Fixed that for you. Pillock and trigger 2
Skizzer Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 That is just GORGEOUS. I love these, they look fantastic - especially in Vauxhall flavour and that colour. Brilliant purchase, looking forward to more pics and tales. Is it a keeper?
Rocket88 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 Should I hire it out for Autoshite dogging evening? warren t claim, trigger and Twiggy 3
Skizzer Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Should I hire it out for Autoshite dogging evening? With a car like that, who needs sex? Twiggy and Micrashed 2
Micrashed Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Wow.I mean, just wow. 70's pr0n filum set tastic.
Pillock Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 With a car like that, who needs sex? Don't be daft, this is Autoshite dogging. Sneak out at night, find a quiet country lane, sit back in the velour and crack one off. No company needed. Bobthebeard, Skizzer and explosive-cabbage 3
Spiny Norman Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Stunning, best interior of any car I've ever owned, or possibly even best interior of anything I've ever been in. I love these cars. I can even remember the smell off both of mine.Bet the seat covering is in perfect condition isn't it? I've seen Royales which were absolutely fucked in every way but so long as the damp doesn't get to them that velour seems almost indestructible.
brickwall Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 The simplicity of the auto stick and transfer tunnel is beautiful.
mercrocker Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Hell, that is lovely....lushest AA Patrol waiting room you could wish for. I would take that anywhere and not care if I broke down. drum 1
Bren Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Christ this takes me back. The feel of the velour. The smell of a feu orange traffic light. The sound of my Now 16 cassette. The uncertainty of whether or not I had enough fuel to finish my journey. The only way this car could be better is if it had head rests in the back like the saloon. ProgRocker 1
londonm Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Just need a mullet, white socks, slip on shoes, and a durex.

HillmanImp Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Not that I want it but some pic of the actual car and not just the interior might help the sale....
HMC Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I've seen and been wafted about in this. Absolute bargain IMO. Really tidy, has obviously had an easy life, rides nicely, has a sensational interior and very nice straight and tidy bodywork.

A bag minus a fiver NOOOOOO!!! You're not supposed to be selling this, not yet, not while I've got three cars with three different restorers and the driveway is also full. Massive want! Massive mustn't!
Spiny Norman Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 No, you're definitely too far away. It would cost me about £200 in petrol just to bring it back, and I've had 2 already... GLWTS, I'd love it, but I mustn't.
