Now thats sort of what i thought, I mean, IF those seats had been pulled out of a brand new 1968 Escort with delivery mileage only and had been stored in an environment which meant the seats were exactly as they had been originally stored then, ok, maybe a few hundred quid.

Im truly, truly gobsmacked.Scene tax? Bollocks!!

His name must be Wayne Kerr! For that sort of moolah, you could quite easily get 2 old seats refurbished with new foam & vinyl, and the frames stripped & repainted. A grade 1 total and utter feckwitted robbing barsteward

Those Mk1 seats are about the least sought after ones of the lot. Fixed back vinyl jobs? £50, tops.

 

If they were genuine Mk2 Mexico Scheel jobs in perfect condition then £950 would be cheap. They're not. They'll be back in his loft for another 40 years.

 

He took them out in 1973 for a reason. They're shit.

Yeah, it's nice and all that, but three grand nice? A decent GTE would be cheaper and better.

Slight EFA there.

They are slowly creeping up in value and having doors, wings and rear arches that don't resemble a sieve is a right bonus, but three grand is stupid money to be honest.
