They can't be that rare, I've owned one and own a Van. If the estates are super rare, the vans are double plus eleventy scarce.

Crikey, back when I house shared in Reading in 2002 there was one of these in great condition on the drive. It looked totally roadworthy but we pushed it off the drive and the council picked it up as an abandoned car. This was that time when there were loads of abandoned cars all around the UK. Think finance became easy to get hold of, it was all that cool Britannia stuff and people were buying new cars and feeling positive.

 

I wish I had this for my BL garage of the future.

If I bought something like that I would want to be the one to do it actually. Running a sponge over that using one bucket with some washing up liquid is a sure fire way to fuck the paint. I've seen people washing their car with a floor brush and a washing up basin filled with washing up liquid and water... Makes me cry inside.

Er, is that a wrong thing for a 'shiter to do then?

 

Until I got one of those pressure washer things I always used wu liquid, bucket and broom, making sure the broom was free of grit and gravel first of course.

You're supposed to wash the bloody things?  As if it wasn't enough work topping up the oil every five years.

You're supposed to wash the bloody things?  As if it wasn't enough work topping up the oil every five years.

 

Miby I'm just OCD about it. If you're lazy though washing your car properly once or twice a year and waxing it is great. A waxed car is way easier to clean than a 'naked' one, especially those bastard insects. I'll make a thread showing how to properly wash a car if anyone wants it.

Yeah, a generic ammo box almost identical to the one I gave Mattblack a fiver for, bit painted white with VOLKSWAGON apparently stencilled by a five year old.

 

He's also written 1967 on because somewhere in the back of his tiny, mostly empty skull he remembers that '67 VW bits are rarer so cost more
