ebay 'BARGAINS'

Acclaims are great, I've had two and really regret killing the first one (giant snowball, don't ask!).

Are we talking a giant ball of snow here, or epic quantities of Advocaat and lemonade?

Im so hoping its the latter - A tale of automotive tragedy involving something old ladies drink before telling rude jokes would be grade A autoshite material

Could we not just find 22 of us who are willing to chip in a tenner and put it out of its misery?[/quote

i has tenner, can PayPal, but expect epic collection thread involving extracting 20p in front of moronic mad seller.

I would be delighted to contribute a tenner.

Such is the legendary status of this vehicle that if we were to purchase it, the collection would have the potential to be a fantastic and hilarious Autoshite outing.

I reckon we could even get our money back by a sort of halfhearted breaking enterprise involving flogging off a few easy-to-remove but desirable bits (wing mirror for example, perhaps, as lots of people get theirs broken) followed by bridging the rest.

I'd be happy to contribute, I guess we could do with having a pool car or two as there is always one or two of us who find ourselves without a car from time to time. But where do we keep it in the meantime?

I suppose we could contribute to keeping it in a rented garage or covered space whilst its not in use?

I have covered accommodation for it in between shitter assignments

Sent from my Nokia 3310 using the force.

I would also be willing to contribute to the 405 fund, if only to spare the sanity of ebayers everywhere.

I too would happily contribute to the 405 fund in order to save someone from insanity.

Shame it's not badermatic as we could have MOT'd it and donated it to Dave...

I'm not in. If it comes down any more in price I'll find it very difficult not to lob in a cheeky one.

You are right, surely it's in the realms if acceptable now. 405's are not particularly common now. (I can't remember the last time I saw a clean one?)

Providing he crashed it into the front window of the Derby & Joan club at the time, citing he'd hit the accelerator instead of the brakes. And he isn't pissed, he's always like this on Wednesdays ever since that funny turn after the space cakes incident.

I think we should turn up with the money, then point out the 50p sized dent wasn't in the listing so we aren't buying it. Then film his reaction.

As clean as it is, it's still a horrible car in a horrible colour at a laughable price.

I don't know if anybody has spotted it yet but the 405 has come down another £10, it's now £215, that's pretty cheap really, I mean he must have spent that alone on advertising it!

Someone please buy this 405! I just want to see a picture of the previous owner when it gets collected as I have him in my head as a Keyser Soze type but at the same time a sandwich short of a picnic.

Would the Style trim have actually had air con as he alleges?

I was all prepared to defend it as a tidy, strangely povo-spec convertible on sale during the rain season until I saw the price.  That's positive thinking on a whole new scale.
