$(KGrHqVHJBkFIV4vdS!1BSGJFsDGQ!~~60_35.JAnd now it appears to have gone to shit.

YOU GET ALL THE THRILL OF A FERRARI BUT WITHOUT THE COST

No, you don't. It's an MR2. And it's a starting bid of £16,500. Donkeyblower.

This is seriously nice, but I have no idea what sort of coin these are worth.

$T2eC16dHJHwFG1u69WDtBSK6(zLZTQ~~60_35.JObviously an Austin 3 litre - (is this a land lobster?)

This one is £10,995 classified. If my numbers come up. this will be on the list, but until then....

The Austin 3 Litre is the only car my Dad and I agree on and would happily own.  It's special for other reasons too.  To date I've seen 3 in the real world in my lifetime, I doubt I'll see more.

Want a new Rangie, but don't want to be compared to a footballer?

Step right this way Sir....

$(KGrHqZHJBoFIErHuViHBSB8rHlsPQ~~60_35.JIt's a 1993 (hence why it's in this thread) but all is not what it seems. It's totes amazeballs dude! (That's what da kidz say innit?) Have a look at the spec, and then seriously, would you rather have a new one? At £89,750, a smidge more than a new Autobiography, but who cares?

The most ridiculous thing is the colour. For £90k, I'd expect some! A nice dark metallic brown would work nicely I suspect, but that'd probably be extra...

building the car to your specification.

Agreed, not keen on white, but they'll pretty much built / paint one in whatever spec or colour you'd want.

And Reg, we'll have to agree to disagree on this - not that I'm in a position to have to make this decision!!

That is fucking SHIT. And it has a slow puncture. He is charging £35k for a car which would sell for £700 if it was original (which 99.9% of the population would think looked better) and he cant be arsed getting a new tyre for it.

What a total and absolute (possibly mentally retarded) cunt.

Brabus stuck a 7.3 litre version of the V12 into the W124. One of those would be fun. :)

I know someone with a W210 EV12 estate. That thing is rather bloody special. He somehow gets 20 mpg from it in town which astounds me.

At £10k I'd be bloody tempted. However.

Fuck. Me. (not literally, you understand)

Yep, rare, and very nice, but HOW MUCH?

Posted

I literally did a LOL at that price. Suely it must be a 'POA THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL PRICE' type thing?

They've been snorting the mushroom vapour off Rishworth Moor if they think that's worth 4G.

Hilariously, my mate Ryan used to own that. I think he paid £495 for it, which was £700 too much.

Bring back teenage memories?   I thought memory loss was a pre-requisite for Smegro ownership!

They seem to think they can get Doctor money by giving it a wash.

Aren't those wheels from a later Rover 114? The drivers seat bolster is worn, they've left phones and sunglasses inside whilst they take the pictures, it looks like it's just come off a jack and not settled too. Abysmal. I'd want ten identical ones for that price, and perhaps a weekend with a high class hooker too.

This was mine lol and it's actually come down in price since he first advertised it! They gave me £300 as part ex and I was just glad to get rid! it's only a 1.1 and a stolen recovered, needs a timing belt, 2 new sills and the radiator leaks badly. The wheels are original and being a 1.1 is super rare (because of being slower than walking)... but thats all... ha

The reason it sits so high is that the guy I bought it off had the suspension pumped in March, thats all.

Oh and someone drove into it 3 days before I part ex'd it... you can see the crease in the bonnet still and the cracked bonnet badge...

If only there was someone local, who knew all the faults with it, that could go and tear it to shreds in front of the dealer's eyes.....

"Is that a dent in the bonnet?"

"Are those sills crusty?"

"Has it ever been stolen?"

"Are you on crack?"

etc.

That Metro is defo a front runner in this thread for sheer hopeless self-delusion. The ratio of 'asking price : realistic price' is certainly at the upper end of the scale at approx 10:1, and if you take into account the total mediocrity of the car in question that must bring in some sort of multiplier. Asking £25k for an MR2-based Ferrari rep is clearly ridiculous, but at least you can see that you're being asked to pay for some semi-skilled work usually including an expensive paintjob and a retrim. Here you're paying a substantial premium, for absolutely f**k all.
