Well, Blakey doesn't post all that often here normally. Chances are when the thread died off he stopped checking... May be better to PM him

It was only on there for a few days. Seems to have been snapped up real quick

Bugger, since I've now got room for it. Things just didn't coincide.

The Sierra is still alive, currently housed in Portsmouth, last time I checked it was having a fair bit of rot cut out from the boot floor. The windscreen hasn't been replaced yet,but the bonnet was beyond repair, will update soon.

Yay! I assumed this was dead now, glad it isn't! This car was pretty ace while it was working and looked really tidy (I never looked underneath mind)

H97owc lives! I had assumed it had long since gone, that's great, fair play to you for sticking with it.

Brilliant! Good to hear it's still alive and getting better.

It's on my watch list.  Don't really have any way of getting it home at the moment though - it's a bit too heavy to be trailering behind a Mondeo.  Plus finding a heated windscreen for it might be a bastard - not that much of the old one worked anyway.

Yeah it had a graphic equaliser thingy that lit up red/orange/yellow. Gr9 for listening to now 1991. Wonder if someone on here has got it? I mentioned something earlier on news 24 about negotiating to buy some tat that's popular round the oval but this isn't it.

I'm late to this but didn't think Sierras were liked by banger racers, on account of being weaker than either the Cortina or the Mondeo. I know they build hot rods out of them but that's unlikely to happen to an estate.

7 years too late, but I’d rehome this for £200! I’m not a DVLA whizz, but prospects of survival do not look good.

This would quite easily be a £4,000 car today.  In a way, that's quite challenging - but in a way it's good.  When they get to that sort of money, people stop throwing them away.

I DO like a late Sierra estate but I do prefer the even less pretentious shape of the MK3/4 Escort Kombi.  I've got my eye on one at the moment.  #GluttonForPunishment.

My only experience of these is being in one at work on a training course for highlighting bad vehicle dynamics.
10/10 for misery. Would endorse.

I’m in a real blobby Ford mood of late. Sierra, mk4 Escort, mk3 Fiesta and/or the ever gopping Scorpio.

I was searching for the “bASe Sierra” collection thread (not found it yet) when I found this H97 OWC Sierra forum bike thread.  Nice looking thing, Love the equaliser Radio and definitely think something like this would make an interesting and capable prospect for  a daily car.
