Dave has just left in the Accord, after a train journey that took rather longer than it should have due to connections not connecting properly.  Hopefully the A140 and A12 will be clear and the journey home will be smoother...

He got it - hooray! Hope his trip back is uneventful. Looks like he got himself a decent motor there :)

Uneventful trip back, drives nice apart from fact it occasionally judders to halt at junctions...

Spose it could be that i have been driving an auto for past year and keep forgetting about that extra bloody pedal that i should press.

Other than  that it seems fine, wipers need sorting but i always do them as soon as i get a car anyway.

Headlights are crap, will take look at them in morning, probably just need cleaning.

Cant get cruise control to work, not that it matters but Wuv was using it so must be doing something wrong.

Good on you, Dave, now get the bloody pictures posted up!

Can I just say,  thank god it went okay. With the 'nearly' selling the Toyota and the 'so close' when picking up the Honda it was like watching Jimmy White reaching the world championship final again.

Sure it will take you on many miles of happy motoring. And yes, photos.

Glad the journey home was less eventful than the journey up here...  The dipped beams are a bit rubbish, aren't they?  They have been crap on every Accord I've owned though, so I assumed it was just a "nature of the beast" thing, although a good clean might help somewhat.  They're still better than the Vectra's...

The cruise control has a master switch on the dash to the right of the steering wheel.  Switch that on, then when you reach the speed you want, press the lower of the two buttons on the steering wheel to set the cruise.

Had shit headlights in xantia but lobbed in a pair of nightbreakers from ebay (£12) and now I can actually see the road, so might be worth a try

Well done Dave, a cracking achievement on all levels. Pics if the rain ever stops...?
