You'll all be welcome!

Google>'Malham'>Maps>Directions :)

Look out for the scene posted above.

So this place doesn't have a postcode?

Wat - according to Joe, no there is no postcode for the field, it's a field they generally don't get their own post codes ;)

Malham is a small village, put in the postcode for the pub or post office and look for Joes excellent signage and/or a field full of chod.

If you're coming tomorrow evening then we may be in the pub ...

Who does the L300 Delica belong to? Want!

Senor Mouseflakes I think.

Yes - it's mine. I should put a thread up about it/them some time. It's grown on me.

I only dropped by at the 'show ground'* for a while and didn't do any laning (just went for a walk up Gordale Scar - which was awesome!). It was good to see folks and chat a bit - apologies for rolling on so soon. All round good fun and thanks to everyone involved for making it happen.

I've had 2 L400s but would love a 300 for this winter, a thread would be good!

Dollywobbler's story.

Friday started very badly, when the Discovery went BANG, Clank, screech and stopped. A mullered wheel bearing is suspected. I managed to limp the three miles back home where I frantically hurled everything into the Golf, hoped the vital fluid levels were ok and raced off again.

In Newtown, about 30 miles into my journey, the cooling fan began to shake the entire car. Not good. Traffic jams after this resulted in much use of the heater and much sweltering by the driver.

Just as I joined the M6, I ran into traffic chaos. It became very stop start. Which was when the Golf decided it wouldn't run below 1500rpm. Cue three-pedal driving, much stalling, much swearing and much confusion from the poor working folk trying to get home. "Why do they lights keep going off on that Golf?"

Things did improve.

Later that night.

We went to a local pub for dinner. It was very noisy, very warm (lovely) and the food was very expensive. Thankfully, the barmaid was very nice and the food was very delicious. I had to have full roast pork with very delectable Yorkshire Pudding.

The next morning.

In a bid to not upset the locals, the sign was toned down a bit.

In hindsight, perhaps us good folks of Autoshite are a bit too used to the word Shite compared to most folk...

Chez Dollywobbler. The nearest tent is Chez Philibusmo. He had the whole field to pitch in but he clearly likes Golfs. Or maybe he found a rare bit of field that didn't have sheep poo on it.

Axes were thrown in strictly controlled circumstances (ie not when drunk - they were locked away then in case any unsuspecting Xsara Picassos drove past)

Some people did not throw axes

This is the committee meeting to decide where to go greenlaning. SambaS abstained.

Scotland arrived.

Cars were beautifully prepared for the concours judging. SambaS was clearly hoping there was a category for shirts.

Phil's seat repair did cause the odd problem. Like packaging peanuts falling out of the car and needing a tidy

I think most people agreed that the back of the Frontera was the best place to be. I was soon less bothered about my broken Disco

Scotland ponders the desirability of Fronteras. We were all very impressed with it. Perhaps apart from Phil. Who owned it.
