Yet another two digit registration! Do you actively seek them out or is it just luck?

Just luck. I do like two digits though. It's like a personal plate, but free. And meaningless. Perhaps that's why I want to get rid of the BX and Merc - I need to replace them with something two-digit.

I've driven an E46 330Ci non-clubsport, and was annoyingly impressed. It had 186k miles on it, but you wouldn't have known. An absolute pleasure and had the best stereo I've ever encountered in a car. Or pretty much anywhere else to be honest! I also rate it as one of the most beautiful cars BMW have ever built. Just before it all started going horribly wrong for them!

Had it for 11 months or so, driven about 9500 miles in it and spent far more than it's worth in maintenance because I'm shit at bangernomics.

My daily since April 1st. Done 3000 miles since then with Japanese-like reliability which is freaking me out a little but I'm sure it won't last :)

Fortunately, excellent train and bus coverage round us means that 'daily driver' isn't quite the truth but it's the only car we've got. Anyway, seen here with attached MPG enhancer.

That's cool as fuck, how did you manage to prevent the paper getting wet and soggy and ripping?

Yacht varnish. Re-applied every now and then, although some water does still manage to get through in small patches so it does occasionally need some patching. Still, a sheet of news paper stuck down with wall paper paste, followed by some varnish is quick and doesn't break the bank. Still looks better than the lacquer peel and pogweaseling finish that the paint has underneath.

I reckon you may end up starting a trend, can just see the VAG scene fan boys swapping their OMGRATLUKINNIT "style" for this

Sure you don't want another 4x4, Ian? ;)   Ahem... V83 JWN, as seen on the first page...

Seriously, I agree with you about two-digit plates.  I considered this one a little bonus.Think my first encounter with one was the Zephyr my dad bought new in 1965, DWM 95C.  If I found that in a barn, I'd grab it to restore whatever condition it came in.  I loved it when I was six and I'd love it again.

This ticking time bomb.

I have owned it a year. Covered 11K miles, and aside from the expected noisy flywheel for the last 4K or so, it's been no bother, is quick enough, well equipped, has one previous owner, and most importantly, was very well priced.

Can't go wrong. Although I would prefer an estate, and the cooled seats don't work as well with Alcantara centres, compared to the full leather in my mates.

Oh yeah, it's also undertyred, and Ford managed to make the fake split rims look as though they came from Halfords, and the arch gaps are comical.

Up until a few weeks ago, my daily was the Peasant Pug... Now replaced with something I should probably hand my AS membership card in for owning...(!)

Here's them together, the day I flogged the 205...

This is our daily, a 120+ model, bought 4 years ago for £1500. Been a great car, bought it for the cheap price (thanks to the OMGHGF image!) and the good condition it was in, but it drives much better than I expected.

Sadly up for sale now as twins on the way mean its now too small! And true to form as soon as you want to move it on it lets itself down ( see oil drips below it...)

Picture of replacement French MPV AUTO shite to follow...

My daily. Was supposed to be retired from these duties but the replacement cried enough on the M1 and I haven't been arsed enough to swap the engine yet.
