What do we make of this then? Thought it was a Carina estate, which would be unusual enough, but it's a bog-basic JDM Caldina. What a strange thing to import.

I've seen that one too. It's normally on Southsea seafront, I can't imagine that's the best place for it to live though given the sea air! There used to be a big early 70's Pontiac convertible parked in the same place too but it's disappeared.

Another pair from Southsea. Not really my bag but I know there's a few Toyota lickers 'round these parts.

Cheggers, if your around the area there's usually a load of shite worthy of these pages a few streets back from the sea front in Southsea on Brandon Road.

There's a yard there that used to be a bus depot years ago, the street outside is usually littered with all sorts of old shitters, some of them are old too.

I've never had my camera with me when down there but recently I've seen a pair of mk1 Transit recovery trucks, an early mk3 Transit van, a Jag xj6 S3, Capri...

There's a lot in the yard too, I've got access to the substation next door and visible through the fence is a mk1 Granada, mk2 Transit, mk3 Cortina, And something from the 30's but it's hard to see and incomplete.

Guys, I think we can close this thread.

Spotting something on the telly without getting out of your chair must be the ultimate in lazy spotting, can't be topped I'm afraid.

^^

The tank is a WW2 German 'Stug' tank destroyer. They were built using a normal tank hull and engine, without a normal rotating tank turret, for taking out other tanks or use as a self propelled artillery gun. The 'Stug' is actually a pretty small one, later variants were built on heavy Tiger tank hulls and were massive with very powerfull guns!

Yes, I know I'm sad!

Looks like a Pontiac Lemans, I'm sure that's the one I remember being parked on the seafront ages ago but it was red back then and rather rusty!

We were stopping at Wainfleet in a cottage for the financial controller's birthday, took her to  Boston for some retail therapy and a spot of lunch, gonna be back there for a week next spring. Love the amount of older stuff on the roads and driveways in that area.

... another EficPail, sozz....

Travelling up the A1M thisafternoon, at Birtley services, I saw away infront of me a 7.5tonner beavetail, red... on the back was a Yank Demolition Derby waggon (not badly crinkled, to be fair) on the bonnet was a spare [or it's own] wheels and axle.

The line of the rear quarters was flat top and bottom (70's esq) and vertical light recess, rectangular.

Signwritten onto the bootlid was (left side) 'Passing Side' on the (right side) 'Suicide!' >>> referring to a direction of track rotation perhaps??

Anyhoos... any oval action on around here tonight mebbies??

Just to reassure you that the European population of mk1 Pandas seems to be holding up well...

post-19003-0-24330300-1476060546_thumb.jpg...

I saw half a dozen of these in just two days in Milan, all in serviceable condition, with nice patinas and often in a most beguiling turquoise. They seem to be holding up better than early Puntos, of which I saw just this one and I fear it won't be holding out for much longer:

Unos are fairing better according to my unreliably small sample size:

and finally, something seems to have been added in translation. Here's the Milanese rozzers' take on the panda car:
