I'm beginning to wonder why I've kept these for so many decades now...

Because you, like I, prefer reading paper?

I had a Series 1 Owners Manual, the 1950 publication with this cover:

Sold it to a lad that had just got an 80" ,for a fiver.

Have a look what they cost now.

I spotted a 'older' couple in a really tidy J reg pre-facelift Skoda Favorit in Burgundy on the way into work this evening. It looked like it was just their everyday car!

Proper none-Turbo 1.9D shite. Also managed to see E140 CCF, a BX that has been spotted and posted a few times in the distant past; a 'new' one to me and a very pleasing sight.

Second time in a couple of weeks I’ve seen this [checks notes] 99-year-old Ford Model T(?) parked here.

Nice Ford Pop. My Dad had one in grey ( that colour was too exciting in 1961). Had a roof rack just like that too.

If it was not for the Foxcote House sign I would have said that was in The Netherlands.

All things considered, this looked stunning.

Looks like the 2.5v6 - for my ruinous sins, I ran a VR-4 version (twin turbo v6) for a year driving 450 miles a week and changing the AYC diff oil every 4500 miles.

In that time it shat a £1000 driveshaft and eventually an impossible to spruce/repair invecs-2 gearbox too.

Awesome car, semi q car, 270bhp, a dash like a computer game, brakes like marshmallow and an ability to drift like I’ve never experienced before or since…

Its a saved search on eBay for a reason…

I've just gone back and seen that.

Yeah, same place. Should've paid more attention when I was riding in last week and got in there first. 😂
