Zelandeth Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 On holiday in Scarborough... should probably be taking photos of the seafront etc... So have a slightly blurry shot of a Mk IV Escort instead. Disco Fever 1

Shonky Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 This Nexia I was told about by a fantastic friend, a Streetview find. I went on a little 20 mile jaunt to Hounslow expressly to find it, and as it turns out, Hounslow is STUPIDLY rich in shite cars. I left a note on the rear windshield and later that evening I received a call from the lovely owner, and we had a nice little chat about it. Bonus 106 that's not been on the road since at least 2005. davocano, Jim Bergerac, Datsuncog and 3 others 6
Tadhg Tiogar Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 This one is still seen not far from home.... Datsuncog and adw1977 2
bramz7 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 That 106 is an XTD, aka top of the range diesel. Nice spot. Shonky 1
RobT Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 24 cylinders between them, and both are taxed and tested. Living the dream... davocano, MorrisItalSLX and Datsuncog 3
Zelandeth Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Two from my holiday weekend at Scarborough. One slightly fuzzy Mk IV Escort... Sorry for the camera shake, trying to wrangle an excited husky and take photos at the same time is hard. From a bit later, the sole interesting vehicle to drive into the caravan park the whole weekend. Never been in an Express, would be curious to have a shot driving one. Coachwork isn't by a maker I can identify by sight, lacks the flair of the body on my Merc I think, but nevertheless looks in good nick for the age. Sorry, couldn't get a shot from the front due to the proximity of the kids play area, and I wasn't about to go and start snapping photos in that direction. oldcars 1
MorrisItalSLX Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Practically new Mercedes with those wheels.Driver was in his late 50s too. jumpingjehovahs 1
lesapandre Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Penge - S. London. This A4O Somerset had a new modern interior- so maybe some engine mods too. Just parked casually at the roadside. As cars have got bigger and taller this is now about the size of a Nissan Micra. The photo is a bit flattering - its hand-painted. Nice old thing. Yoss, Amishtat, MorrisItalSLX and 6 others 9
Datsuncog Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Giffer-tastic Volvo 440, with what looks like some serious bodgery to the back arch. The faded black plastic bits looked like they'd also been recently refreshed with a pot of black Smoothrite and a hairy brush, so I'm gonna guess that achieving a concours finish wasn't uppermost in the owner's thoughts... Freshly MOT'd, mind... danthecapriman, ProgRocker and brandersnatch 3
Amishtat Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Best spot of the day first, it's all downhill from here. Right hand drive and J-registered. There's another one of these locally registered and on a G around here that I've never been able to get a picture of but I've not seen this one before.Sadly the future for this probably involves 100% fewer windows and a roof fin. Pity. danthecapriman, adw1977, drivewaymyway and 2 others 5
Tadhg Tiogar Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 In Kilburn near the Tricycle Kiln Theatre just now....
lesapandre Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 I had to go into central London today. At the base of The Shard, one of Europe's tallest occupied buildings there is a ritzy hotel.. but not complete without BMC's finest...
