Amishtat Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Scabby sills & arches, lacquer peel and aerosol touchups aplenty but still going with what could have been the original owners
Joey spud Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 I followed this Allegro on the M25 yesterday morning between Sevenoaks and Godstone. It was smoking well on the over run and had a hastily knocked out, unpainted biff on its n/s rear quarter panel but it still looked the dogs bollocks. egg, Yoss, Pieman and 8 others 11

It's spent the last few years mouldering away and annoying the neighbours on mnde's road but was sold after the council finally threatened to lift it.

lesapandre Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 IMG_20180519_095736.jpgIMG_20180519_095648.jpgThis was in the local auction house this morning, will be up for sale on Wednesday morning. Hnnnnnnggg... Must..not..bid...Anybody want a 208D camper in a hurry?Looks not rusty. Had a few of these - they rust a lot. Interesting to drive - bolt upright driving position and steering wheel big enough for a supertanker - handling and steering bit iffy brakes ditto. Always felt a bit out of control. Go well. May be an A105 with the performance engine. Column shift. Feel a bit 'tinny'. Nice leather seats with armrest that fold out in the front. 20mpg mostly.
lesapandre Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 I prefer the earlier short boot model. Concept designed by the Raymond Loewy studio initially and upscaled by Dick Burzi at Austin.
