Lazy spotters thread

Found out about those bizarre Lincolns earlier this year, through this very forum I think, and they are hideous.  Obviously I love them, because they're so ridiculous.

This LDV used to have a sign on it to the effect 'please use as a blank canvas and express yourselves'.

Saw this yesterday, looked tidy but rear arches were a little crispy.

I was too busy admiring those church window rear lights to notice straight away the 2 door conversion in progress...If he has done what looks like and lengthened the front door that's a fair amount of work involved there.   Should look good and probably not require a lot more welding than they normally do!

This was going in the "dumped cars" thread as it's parked by a disused building (a former do-it-all for extra shite points- you can just about make out the silhouette of the logo below the apex of the roof)) but it's still taxed n tested......

Escort Eclipse - run out model before the mk V was introduced, and probably a better car than the mk V too. 1.3 litres of throbbing power.

Nice mk1 Golf cabriolet looking quite original and not all Scened Up. Apart from the number plates but I can live with that. Body looked mint, roof looked shagged with gaffer tape all over it. Nice contrast.

Nice Pirelli P slots too.

These Laguna Is look so much better with the pre-facelift rear light clusters.  The Lexus was mintota and had some cracking Currie Motors dealer plates.

Glad to see this Clio is still knocking about, I hadn't seen it for a while.  A left-hooker and was originally on French plates, so the owner must have liked it enough to keep it here and get an age-related UK one.

Ok, own up . Who was this? On a collection this morning at 06.00. The driver must have been shitting him self when a silver V70 comes past at speed then slows down so that the Transit can overtake, it didn't so I came off the M1 at j9 so that I could see when it passed then rejoin to pap. Dedicated spotter, me.

But it also came off the M1 , so I followed it on the A5 . He pulled into a layby and I was able to get the shot! Didn't think till afterwards what the poor shite botherer was thinking.post-17414-0-18890000-1491911879_thumb.jpeg

Well, found a few things since we'vé been off air. Was at Cobham bus rally at the weekend at Brooklands. You know you're at a bus rally when the Rovers hang around in pairs. This wasn't the public car park, I think it was the traders section.

I was thinking of starting a new thread for most inappropriate trailers. This picture, incidentally was taken from the world famous Brooklands banking.

But top spot of the weekend goes to this in Romsey on Friday afternoon. Not only because it's a DB6 and not only because it completely outclassed the Ferrari in the background but mainly because he just parked it on the inside of a roundabout!

That's class.

Same stretch of road, same Indian, different old crock....

Actually apart from being a bit saggy at the back end (prolly just full) it was quite a tidy old thing

Edit to add embarrasment factor: just realised the owner was sat in the car!!!

Have been looking through this from page 1, exceptional thread. Its brought back a lot of memories form my childhood and messing around with cars as I've gotten older.

Sadly no pics but I remember when I was a kid, 8 or 9 maybe, There was a burnt out Golf Mk1 behind my nan and grandads house in Red Hall, Darlington. It was there for a few years. Remember my Grandads Mk1 Fiesta 2 which he painted two tone blue himself (which I have photos of - will post later). Also had a Vauxhall Chevette which was black on the bottom and blue on top. Half and half.

Also remember my Father in law abandoning his Volvo 240 (H Reg) near Mablethorpe (outskirts) not so many years ago with possible head gasket failure. Had to walk miles back to the caravan as we where on holiday at the time. It was the 2.3 Auto in dark blue, it broke down outside a garage if I remember correctly. Got home and FIL sent the garage the logbook. Not sure what they did with it.

This was parked at the back of a tyre place in Bletchley , haven't seen a 929 for maybe 20 years, could you ever get saloons in this shape ? I remember them all being estates.

The first 'collection thread' that I read was Bollox's tale of collecting a 929 wagon like that then driving it back to France. It was in Original Tin.

From a farm near Ludlow. Also about 30 International tractors. A bit odd, but hey whatever.

There was a red 305 van being used in Ludlow until quite recently by Buftons.  The rest are a mystery though,  I thought I knew where all the local BX's were hiding.
