My small collection.

I heard mention of this site so many times on 'that blue forum' that I decided I should check it out. Ithink I just found my new favourite thing.

I believe my various projects (see also: scrap) would be appreciated here. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with old cars and seem doomed to be forever living a life that I cannot afford due to a consistant stream of obscure motorised junk.

Here is my first car; Ford Fiesta 1.1 Finesse mk1 which I have had for over 2 years and am very very fond of. It was no-where near this clean when I got it, but a build thred will be up before long for it:

And here is my second car, now sold on ebay for the pricely sum of £460. Austin Maxi 2 HL in russet brown with the roof, union-flag, painted by me in Champaign Beige and Harvest Gold, four Lucas spot lamps and a front splitter:

This was a barn find, had been sat there for 9 years before I got it MOT'd.

My third car, the Maxi's replacement; Ford Sierra 2.0 DOHC GLX, good fun on round-a-bouts and has an excellent cassette player. otherwise a little too bland for my liking.

And now here is the new Project, Toyota Cressida 2.0 Auto.

Sat for 21 years in dry storage. I have had it a week and it is running like a (very noisy) dream. 4 new tyres and brakes and slap an MOT on it.

Kwal. That Maxi certainly had a few favourable comments, it looks ace. Welcome along.

No luck flogging the Maxi of win yet? EDIT - whoops. Try reading! What a steal for £460. Deserved to do better!

I think with that collection, you'll do alreet here!

I thought that Maxi of yours was inspired, and the new Cressida is a proper yellow gem.

Oh! it's "THAT" Maxi! i think dollywobbler was having pervy thoughts over that, and the cressida is stunning as i said on the blue forum this morning.

Welcome to the site btw.

i had a punt on that maxi iirc........ that fiesta is "trouser tent" fantastic

hello and welcome to the home of old and infirm cars

Would have been nice if I could see the photos, but never mind. Anyone who deliberately goes out and buys a Cressida (with the proper gearbox too) is totally welcome here!

KWALITY! Love the Sierra, very clean looker.

The Cressida is a gem, its amazing what people keep in fry storage for so long. One of my Rover 800s has been in dry storage for about 3 and half years.

Yup, you're in the right place - tea's in the pot, help yourself :)

Nice fleet! That Cressida polished up well, didn't it? Look forward to the resto threads.

That you did, popped it up for sale on there but no-one bit.

And for all those loving the Sierra, it will likely be for sale before long, if I can get either an MX5, an Alfa-Romeo Spider or an Austin Princess for the summer.
