Picked up this Spot On A60 Cambridge a while back:

As you may be able to see, it's missing its roof rack, which would've had skis attached, too. That said, it's now a New Zealand native, so wouldn't be carrying them, most of the time.

50656419036_d493210f4a_b.jpg

Certainly, the true blue kiwis doing some hard bloody yakka down the forest wouldn't care for a car adorned with such fripperies, that's for sure.

50655684333_c7e19afb22_b.jpg

These old Austins sure were built to get you anywhere.

50656419736_7c6b49c7db_b.jpg

Shit yeah, these old buggers will just keep CHURNING on.

50656511047_56b6cb2338_b.jpg

They're pretty easy to handle and can take some stick. Perfect car for the missus to go shopping in.

50655684243_dc1525a077_b.jpg

They'll overheat of course, so just park up and ignore it for a while. She'll be right.

And when it finally shits out, just take it down the farm, bury it and get another.

Your pics really are effective, Jon; especially the last one!

Mira is your best bet then. I have one kindly sent to me by another member, I do keep my eye out for them but they're not bargain basement. Do we have anyone in Spain who fancies trawling the fleamarkets?

Are car boots a thing in Spain? I thought they were a British thing?

Spain will be like Cyprus: plenty of Brits so yes, you can find car boots.

Dug out the real Fandango and 126X for comparison purposes. Must find a better Fandango...

Both definitely more lookalikes than copies. Also found the Matchbox Unimog to photograph with the Majorette, of course they're different models to start with

We went to Torremolinos a few years back.

One day ,Miss155 took her two sons to a crocodile park, while I went for a wander around a flea market type thing.

Imagine my surprise when I found a stall selling old diecast.

Imagine my disappointment when I realised it was run by a couple of Brita,& the stuff for sale was what I would find back home 🤣

The most interesting thing I found was a Siku VW pickup.

All the Fandango chat got me looking for a Fandango

Found one!

Then sorted through to find more Rolamatics.  Heart sank when doubles I didn't know I had were found...

...and what with the desk now covered in model cars a sense of being overwhelmed has taken place.

Nice Piston Poppers. I see the green Hot Rockers continue to spread far and wide.

Funny enough I was going through my Matchbox today to put away my latest finds and weed out any doubles, it's hard trying to keep these things catalogued in your head

Hello all you miniature shite fans. I'm sorry I've been missing from. This thread recently, I've really lost my mojo for diecast.

So, to help me reset, I'd like to offer up my entire 'pending/part projects' box, FOC to anyone who wants it (*postage and packing applies)

There's a lot of useful shit there, whole cars, tyres, windows, shells, axles etc. Included a complete and working but dismantled and stripped Corgi Maestro.

@bunglebus any good to you? As then at least postage wouldn't be an issue....

IMG_20210308_101353.thumb.jpg.c346bb4586749dbd35bb6789bc727e0b.jpg

I just want rid and to start again.

I'm almost certain I had a Joal  one. It was similar in quality to my Joal Talbot 1310. Wish I'd kept that one.

OK, you and @flat4alfadecide who's getting it.

You could always take it and mail across any goodies he wants I guess

Hey, good to see you back on the thread, dude - and yeah, I know the feeling all too well.

Sometimes a deck-clearing exercise is the only way forward; it's happened to me a few times. Enthusiasm can ebb and flow, so best to just go with it and do what feels right. I'm sure good homes will be found for any waifs and strays offered.

Take care!

Yes happy to do that

An almost 4 kilo parcel might annoy my friendly post lady

I was 14 so probably too busy imagining what girls looked like under their clothes to be interested in toy cars, although I still had the majority of my childhood ones squirreled away

Posted

The organiser got about a bit...  it's a Horsham number

Surprisingly  my interest in Toy cars did not wane through my teenage years and I went to my local swapmeet every month without fail.
