I haven't shown you this lot in detail, got them off a local guy for £20.

Mostly to replace ones in worse condition, very happy with what I got for the money!

Once I get a day off I can go through them individually

Nice haul!!

The pink Dodge dragster is a particular favourite of mine!!

Can i ask if you can keep it to one side, just in case anything else appears?

Sure thing - just let me know whenever you want it!

Must find s pair of the proper front mag wheels now!

Indeed - strange that Corgi swapped to 'standard' Whizzwheels on the front only; the mags all round do look a bit better.

I've only seen the Adams Drag-Star in the 1971/72 catalogue, when it was a 'forthcoming release' showing mags all round - I really must hit up eBay and fill in my mid-70s Corgi catalogues (I've got 1976 to 1988 right through, but only a tatty '71/72 for earlier stuff).

In fact, looking through the '71 cat, the vast majority of the Corgis on the tat stall all seem to date from around this 1972 period. Just a shame I haven't seen any Marina Coupés or Cortina GXLs in there...

The GT 70 is tempting for a fiver hmm

Yeah, the GT70's not bad... a few dings, but should display ok. The engine's very nicely detailed.

Have a think between now and Friday, sure!

Save the stickers though, I’ve never seen them reproduced. Happily transfer them to my Dyane example in the brighter yellow colour

Ah, was that an original set of transfers by Corgi?

I'd thought they'd been stuck on by a previous owner, from some random sticker set featuring anthropomorphic dictators, mebbe... yes, if they're the real deal then I'll happily remove them with care and send them over to you. Assuming I ever get the finger out to do the repaint, of course... ?

This is close to me. The Bigfoot appears to be missing the battery cover and the key. But anyway, if you want to be the coolest kid in top infants, I can probably collect and post on your behalf.

Holey moley, not only Bigfoot/Toofgib, but also Orange Blossom and Black Gold... for £12 the lot, that's a decent enough price...

I'd not realised that 'Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines' wasn't even a series - just a single feature-length pilot episode, later chopped up into four episodes and broadcast erratically at various points in the children's tv segments over the years... the fact I can remember the theme tune and everything made me think it must have been on for a while. But no. Clearly it just had a disproportionate impact on me!

If anyone has any in other colours that aren't here to sell or trade please let me know.I know there are dark grey, metallic purple, and possibly yellow versions out there.

Those look amazing.... never seen the pale blue version before.

I know there's a metallic purple version shown in in of the Corgi catalogues, but I've yet to see one in the metal. Will keep an eye out for you!

Oh, nice! That's a helluva haul for the money; they all look pretty decent too. Great find!

New HW Impreza. This one is really nice, very accurate proportions.

One to look out for, definitely!

I'm really confused about how Mattel divvies up their models between Hot Wheels and Matchbox these days - I'd thought the idea was that Matchbox would focus on accurate scale models of real-life cars, while Hot Wheels would go for the wild fantasy and hotrod stuff, but then there's the Matchbox Banana Car thing and this...

Oh well, it's all good!!

I've been building again. These Humbers are 1/76 white metal kits from a chap called R. Parker, aimed mainly at the model railway market. I like them as they're simple and easy to assemble but well detailed (there's only four parts - a one-piece bodyshell, base with wheels and interior cast in, steering wheel and vac-formed glazing unit). The Hawk is basic gloss black from Poundland (actually more of a satin finish so it's had a thick coat of gloss lacquer) and the Super Snipe is Steel Grey, actually a Land Rover colour but I think it suits.

They go well with Oxford Diecast's Snipe estate. I can't understand why Oxford chose this subject - Humber saloons aren't exactly common but the estates are hens' teeth.

Happy talk keep talkin'
Lucky Toys
Talk about things you'd like to do.
You gotta have a dream

etc

Thought I’d photograph before selling on

A pair of Mercedes Benz commercials made by Lucky Toys of Hong Kong.  Scaling is 1:28 and 1:36 or thereabouts. At a guess.

Crikey I remember when I was about 5 a kid up the road from me had the L608 in blue. I thought it was ace, but I had my Majorette fire cannon example.

It's a tradition at the Falkirk Model Railway Exhibition that I buy some old 1/87 tat.

The Rover and Zephyr interested me as they are by Eko. The Mini is an R56 like mine and is a diecast Oxford effort.

Fitting as the old 1960s Falkirk College Venue is being pulled down so this will be the last time it is held here after 30 years. I've been going for over 25 years, I'll miss the retro building.

Went to Gunsmoke Luton today to fetch some things.  My word.  Apart from the filthy looks my young daughter and I were getting (we're 'white British'), I'd forgotten that just walking or driving anywhere was having to endure zero community spirit, zero common courtesy; it was all one big fight..   Anyhow, before we took to our heels for our sanity and safety, we popped into a Sue Ryder shop and found this little lot in the bottom of a box of grubby toys.  For £2

Dodge Stake Truck, Maisto Lotus Esprit 1/38, Soopa Coopa, Porsche 959 - all up for swappage.

'72 Ranchero and '67  GTO will keep to fondle for a bit longer.
