When I lived in Australia for a year, over 25 years ago, I remember seeing off-the-shelf XJ conversion kits for 350 Chev motors.

There was plenty of love for the imported Jaguars, but there was little love for the engine reliability.  It seemed there was no interest in bothering spending time and money on them while a crate 350 was sitting on a pallet next door
