@egg put me onto this via Facebook marketplace. Another Midnight diecast, seems various different brands ended up imported and boxed up for sale in the UK (and maybe elsewhere)

Mk1 Space Kadett isn't one I've seen before. Doors are best described as an approximate fit, wheels poke out unnecessarily (and one fell off when I unboxed it), even the KADETT rear number plate is cast in wonkily!

Don't recognise the brand on the base but at least it has one

I’ll give it a go later and see. If it’s any good it’ll be coming in handy for another project I’ve got coming! Which will certainly need stripping of its current paint job.

AUTOTEK PAINT STRIPPER 500ML
ACETONE 10-30%
DIMETHYL ETHER 30-60%
ODOURLESS KEROSENE 1-5%

They remind me of the Volvo 164, with Woolfies on, that the butcher at the end of our road had.

Jerry always wanted big rims, but Margo put her foot down and said no.

PS Just found a shot of a 164 with slot mags, the one down the end of our road was dark blue.

Wolfies on an Amazon or a 244 etc always looked cool.

I had the BMW as a kid, the front was missing and the doors were busted off. I just remember making a bridge with my grandad across the kitchen sink out of some wood and driving it across it.

The Escort and the Sierra look like Corgi Copies and the BMW is definitely based on a Gama.

The pics of the Majorettes in TX Maxx were posted by my VW nemesis - I don't understand how he always finds stuff before me, my job allows me to hunt all over the place on a regular basis but yet he's always one step ahead. The Hot Wheels monster truck buggy, 5 pack with the red Beetle in it, all found by him first so I end up rushing off to the shops in search of treasure.

Visited the branch of TK Maxx I know is his local, and as luck would have it they were just putting stock out

I removed this from it's pack on the 29th of September thinking I'd do a quick wheel swap and detail. Life gets in the way so a fortnight later it's done

Didn't do too much other than a set of Matchbox Halibrand-a-like wheels, painting the bed a similar colour and detailing the lights, exhausts and grille etc. Chrome running boards had to go too, and I added a purple dash and steering wheel that you can't see

Funny how different the colour looks under LEDs compared to daylight

They had a long life, carried under a few brand exercises and range names

First were released by Ideal as Stunt Squad range from 1977/78
Re-released as Universal Stunt Car
Then Kidco Bumper Blasters
Later Racing Champions /  Wintech Stunt Blasters
There may have been a set branded under LJN as well, as part of the parent company

Had this body, a Chevrolet Monza.  Never did find a base!  Sold it on
