Some more assorted shizzle that arrived this week

Latest from Oxford. That colour is 'light green' apparently.

Something topical. Yesterday was Heathrow Airport's 70th birthday and this arrived.

Found a redundant Cortina shell and chopped the top off. Then I had to buy another Cortina to provide the chassis and interior that I'd previously stolen from this one for something else! Still more work needed here.

post-5267-0-64943900-1464797239_thumb.jpg

At the same time I decided to buy a Viva and give it the Crayford treatment too. This was easier than the Cortina so it got finished first.

More Skylines from Real-X

I can't help thinking the lights and wheels make this look like a Rover 800

And this one looks a bit Italian

For sale for £1 to any shitter attending shitefest. Why bother with a quid? I find it easier to part with things if my palms are crossed with silver...can add postage if required. PM me.

Just put an order in for some discount diecast tat from a certain Mr Lobster of this parish, one of the models is beige and miserable looking

Posted

MOAR diecast chod has arrived from Mr Lobster, which includes this utterly beige VW Flog, and it's friend the little red GIT. Note all is not quite what it seems in the photos

Here's shots of what the VW's looked like before modification, and the Cortina I also got from Mr Lobster, £14.99 each isn't bad for Vanguards, esp as the beige Golf is a limited run of just 750

Dates from around 2007,one of my favorite finds so far this year 8)

I had that Capri....Powerful nostalgia rush just there as I had forgotten all about it!

I have a blue version of that Sierra with the later wheels on, I think it's crying out for a makeover with a grey grille

I've dabbled with models before, but never really got very far. I do have a complete set of Schuco Rover 75 dealer models - however they're still at home oop norf. I'll try and get them down here sometime in July / August.

In the mean time I'm having a bit of a 'bus phase'. Having visited the Oxfordshire bus and Morris museum at the weekend, I found this little haul on the local market today. At £5 each I had to have them. Some have been displayed, some haven't, but all are in MINT condition having come in from a collector who is downsizing his collection.

I have the BVRT cooper still in its blister - it probably my favourite toy car on account of the colour scheme.

Those buses are a bargain at £5 each. I had the Atlantean in topless Devon General livery. Passed to my father to display in his house - wasn't conducive for me to have them on display with a car mad 3 year old knocking about.

Majorette oldsmobile. A good replica of miserable 80's compact.

The box seal on the atlantean was still intact and it was in original packaging inside box. It is absolutely perfect and it's my favourite ☺ It's also significantly heavier than the other double deckers.

I've been trying to find that Majorette Oldsmobile for a while now. I had it in a twin pack with a boat and trailer which I've still got.

Go for silly money in eBay though.

Got the Crayford Cortina finished. Cutting the roof damaged the paint so it had to have a full repaint and the finish isn't great. I don't know what all those white specks are as they don't show up to the naked eye. If I was doing another I'd mask the body before cutting so I could keep the original paint like I did with the Viva.

I've got two, so I'm sure we can arrange something...

I've got one of those Atlanteans at home and they are quite heavy and pleasingly chunky.

And the real Atlantean actually survives too, there is an argument over which is the oldest between that and the preserved Glasgow example

My best mate and I demolished one of those Majorette Oldsmobiles in a fly-press when we were 12. Most satisfying.

I had that Wallasey Atlantean and also a Manchester one, they survived a few shelf falls unscathed! Think the floor came off worse!
