Oh one more delivery - the latest Corgi Club car, and what a beauty it is. Pleased to see the working steering and suspension present and correct. Boot has a really pleasing feel as it clicks into the open position and snaps shut

And here is mine. The spare tyres is stuck . I don't think the suit case is original with the car. But I found it in the boot.

It's lovely to see another one. My Dad's had a towbar on it if memory serves, came with a matching caravan with opening windows and stuff IIRC... maybe I'm getting that mixed up with a different one.

EDIT: I think it was a big Range Rover that was mine that had the matching caravan with yellow windows, Majorette perhaps?

I’ve got a blue one and a yellow. I like the RS1600i which had the graphics and the spoiler but they go for mad money now I’m afraid.

That Ligeir will be 12.99 when it's released.

All are available mail order in Europe.

Wait a few months and they'll be available from Jumajo cheaper.

These two Corgis just arrived. Having found the milk float MK2 Transit I wanted to get the wrecker, so I can fantasise about lifting unsuspecting MK2 Granadas in the middle of the night.

Liking the boom operation on this one

In the same job lot was a different version of the Renault 5 Turbo Nutter Bastard as it was officially known. Very slight* yellowing of the plastic on this one

I had to go to Pets at  Home for some kitten toys,so had a look next door in Halfords for Hotwheels. They had some cars I hadn't seen before like a black Studebaker pickup,Toyota Land Cruiser in a sand colour,& a Mooneyes '56 Ford Panel Truck in matt red.

A quick look online suggests these are from the C Case, which comes after the one with the Sierra,so might be worth a look if you have one nearby 😉

Tuesday was local toyfair night,so I took Miss_155 along as she'd never been before. There wasn't much there different from last month,so all I bought was this Corgi Bentley T Series20220113_175839.thumb.jpg.14cd8786bd35ad836e0d8c08151e19b4.jpg

This is a nice model,& everything opens20220113_175906.thumb.jpg.c7c10cbd78fc29261f065230f878d677.jpg

I love the colour,it contrasts nicely with the Rolls Royce I got a few months back20220113_175933.thumb.jpg.27160a419a2e5a5e4199891662bea8b2.jpg

Miss_155 found this metal pig & Dumbo the elephant.Total toy fair spend including admission was £9.00 😀20220113_180128.thumb.jpg.c98a73beb6bc58cd42631cf79553dd2a.jpg

Then I had a delivery today from @Dick Longbridgethe Siku Mercedes bus & Corgi Transit20220113_175955.thumb.jpg.f5de53128051ee7d5e6e5eee16a0dde5.jpg

Really pleased with them both, but no idea where to put the bus as the Siku cabinet is bursting at the seams😁

The Transit sits nicely with the Matchbox Sierra,I'm sure someone will do transfers for the Hotwheels Sierra soon though20220113_180024.thumb.jpg.8687ea14170168b9c52b65f2bc9ba49f.jpg

One service that I provide is as a refuge for those poor toy cars that find themselves abandoned in the great outdoors.

My better half works as a park ranger, and every now and again brings something home that she's rescued. Today it was this:

20220113_181813.thumb.jpg.03c2b1cb0ecd591c5818d1c6acfdd41c.jpg

Porsche 910 in Matchbox Super GT flavour. Actually one of the heavier GTs I've encountered, perhaps because of its long tail. It really does feel nice in the hand.

We're presuming it was lost at the park by a kid, and there must be a bit of a tale behind that. More often, cars she finds are recent-ish Hot Wheels, Maisto or whatever supermarket specials; either way, the kind of thing that's amply available on the high street or in charity shops. Of course, it's entirely possible that the latter is where this one came from, but it seems more likely to have been handed down within the family by somebody.

I mean, I bought Super GTs with pocket money in the 80s; could it be that somebody like me afforded it to his offspring on the basis that it was one of the less valuable / meaningful of his models?

For me, it ain't just the toy, it's the story.

20220114_154600.thumb.jpg.3c8999e4c61f772ff4690f76d6ace349.jpg

And this Flying Bug - this one's a shame as it's minty but has a broken wing - I have 3 or 4 in the spares box but they're all missing the wing. I'm sure a donor will emerge eventually

I don't think Corgi were still using the Juniors name by then, but it does help differentiate between the larger and smaller cars especially when they make several sizes of the same car

Well here's a thing I'd never heard of, Ideal Toys Guzzlers - original ad here, starts at 0:29

I spotted this and it was just too odd to resist, you put water in which makes a contact starting the motor, there's a control to set how fast it uses the water up as well. Some have a locking hub arrangement and a sliding weight underneath so you can set them up to wheelie or spin.

All this is kinda irrelevant as mine seems to be missing the motor entirely...

It's also very ugly but it piqued my interest

As you may have seen, @barrettbought a job lot after I posted it on the miniature eBay tat thread, and we negotiated some of the spoils coming my way.

Here's a few of them, most are in very nice condition too

I need @junkyarddog's skills to fix the grille on this Dodge Dragster - I have another with the grille broken on the same side

Matchbox Superfast 70b Dodge Dragster

There are several tidy Superfast era cars

Matchbox Superfast 75b Alfa Carabo20220115_12525620220115_12515920220115_124700

And some earlier ones too - funny enough I had all of these Matchbox already, but these examples are far better than my existing ones

20220115_12481120220115_124519

First time I've found one of these with the roof intact

20220115_12443220220115_124311

This is the only one that's new to me, Pontiac Convertible. Shame about that screen

Matchbox 39b Pontiac Convertible

I had both versions of the Beetle (different colour glass), but mine were quite shabby compared to this pair

20220115_12382020220115_123710

I was bidding on a lot that included a "VOLKSWAGON" base but it got too expensive, one day...

A couple of Corgis - Whizzwheels Marcos is a revised casting from the Rockets/Growlers one

20220115_124931

Rockets Jensen is very cool in lairy pink

20220115_124845

This was chucked in FOC - no idea what it is, Kinder maybe?
