Alan P that model is stunning, genuinely looks like the real thing!

Thanks :) There was a lot of "old new" stock from Germany go on the market this year, meaning they're pretty cheap so snap one up while you can.

No pictures, but I was in TK Maxx earlier & they had some large scale(1/18?)Burago cars. One was a Citroen C6 in red or black,& they were only 12.99 8)

Cool! Thanks for the heads up, I'm into French tat mostly.

The Glasgow Fort Branch had an SCX Slot car collection. There was a Renault 8 there, but the best was a Seat Fura!! £12.99 each. I literally exploded and was killed instantly when I saw this.

I've just picked up one of those Fura's at my local TK's. Really nice model. A mate has an extensive track so looking forward to testing it out!

Latest releases from Oxford Diecast in 1/76 include a pair of Mk1 Festers.

This one has had a change of numberplates to represent my grandparents' car

And this one is my actual first car, same reg and everything! I assume they used my photos for reference.

Because I am a massive whore, I have a fair few more bits of miniature tat to sell, if people would be so kind as to check the thread.

I've seen Hot Wheels are doing an EF Civic this year if that floats anyone's boat.

OMG JDMSCENE YO HIT WITH THE LOWERING STICK VTEC 80'S NOT AUDI.

I bought one of those Civics recently from a visit to Morrisons. I usually sift through the 1/64 car section as I know whilst Matchbox/HotWheels are chucking out some rubbish, they sometimes come up with some great little cars you'd never think would have been produced.

^^This.  It started with a detour whilst Mrs  Rocker QA'd the veg aisle and has ended up with four drawers full of l'l shiters in bubble packs, everything from a rodded  Anglia to Datsun 510.  Love 'em!

In my quest to create a ridiculous range of models, the Ital has been followed by none other than a Commer PB... Here's the decorated prototype shell, "just" needs need interior etc:

That looks just like a real one.

They don't seem to have wheels either.

Got that one, I do like some 1/64 action, and the JDM stuff seems to be popular right now; picked up some interesting Datsun, Toyotas etc.  But seriously these are now 1 POUND SODDING 50 in Sainsburys!!!! On other hand Poundshop is great for picking up some of the American releases we don't see over here.

Yeah, there's a point. I've noticed an abundance of Matchbox cars in Poundland lately, whilst looking for certain other things.

I'm bored. Its been raining all day and I've nothing productive to do. Kids are being a PITA so I avoided anything like family responsibility by doing the following -

Firstly, a little background. About twenty years ago I owned this -

and loved it very much. After about seven years of daily drivering it, life got in the way, bought a house and all that and got married and subsequently divorced. R5 sat there neglected and ended its days like this -

Sold to an enthusiast as a parts car :(

Anyway, last year I ordered a couple of boxes of these -

1/18 R5 Alpine Coupe by Solido.

Low and behold, one of them was damaged in transit and arrived broken. Which presented an opportunity and now I have this -

Still need to do the wheels and a few detail bits - badges etc and the bonnet could do with repainting as theres too much paint on it at present but overall I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Further updates in a year or so once I get around to finishing it...

Brilliant, I actually like the wheels as they are. I have the Corgi 5 in 1/36. Not the Turbo one but the standard model with coffin type seats.

id like to see vanguards do a hc viva as dosent seem to be anybody does them or a 4 door range rover classic as most of the model ones are 2doors

LOVE that Xantia. Need to find one to complement my 1/18 XM and Peugeot 605.

Cor some nice tackle in here, I've not been buying lately, and parted with a few, Partridge has bought a fair few off me, especially French chod. I did pick up just before Chrimbo the Corgi Vanguards Haynes edition Scoobydoo Pretzel for just a fiver from a toyshop in Norwich. I've just done a deal with yon Partridge though, which will see the Ford Grandad become mine. Prior to that, the last diecast I got was my Daewoo Nexia, which is epic in that shite kind of way

Said Pretzel with a few 'friends', an Ixo Ford Escort RS1600, and a Trofeu Celica GT4, plus lurking in the background a DelPrado Saab 900, and a Bburago Fezza Cauliflower
