Auto shiteists, today has been the first day I've not had to do family stuff since arriving in Brussels. I took the Arthur Daley into Brussels to this place:

If any of your remember my posts from previous, it's basically a bohemian place that deals with second-hand stuff like comic books, model cars and trains, games consoles etc...

Today, this particular shop had these in stock:

This was my haul. A 1/18 MCG Capri, a Corgi Range Rover and a Vauxhall (Opel) Omega.

Now I already have a very similar Range Rover, same colour but possibly slightly later as it's missing the numberplate, silver writing from the sign and the wheels are very shiny silver on mine whereas they are normal silver here. I like something a bit more complete.

Apparently not, the armrest seat is exclusive to the Dodge 

As is the stand shape and position

I'm in Milton Keynes for a few days. Typically someone found a colour trial Matchbox camper at the boot sale I would have gone to if I wasn't here!

Anyway, I'll get over it eventually. Thought I'd do a quick recap of some of the bits I've seen mooching around the shops.

Poundland again have lots of Volvo/Minor Matchbox in stock now

Smyths had loads of the Track Fleet Volvo sets - this wasn't all of them 

There were a few other new bits such as apink Slips

This was in an arcade but was either £4 or £6 so that wasn't happening 

Another Smyths, had the new Japanese set Spotted Laurel bought

Typically my boss spotted two Anglias in Germany but didn't get them as he didn't think I'd like the Harry Potter themed! Argh.

Oh well, I did at least find one new mainline in Smyths

New Beetle looks good in white, think this is a multipack only colour

Golf is an exclusive colour too

Cheers, hence why I got all the vehicles I wanted from there. The Capri on eBay was £89, so 40€ (or £33) is an absolute bargain, as was the Omega for 4€. Last year I bagged a Zafira Mk1 1/43 for 10€, can't find one on eBay (when they are available) for less than £30.

I read on some Corgi site ,  they were unpopular and dropped quickly , so now they're highly collectable !   They're hideous eh ?

Yes quite crude, there was an red estate car in the range with Fire livery, but I didn't have one of those.  I heard Corgi sold some through BHS & other primarily clothing shops with small toy sections.
