That Merc is ace, it even has the Barris logo on it.

Reminds me that I haven't posted this Merc I roof transplanted a while back.

The Beetle roof fitted quite nicely.

The doors didn't line up so it was a hard top for a while. But then decided on B pillars (that you can't see in the pic) so a split pin came to the rescue.

It's painted with a rattle can of left over paint from my old Ford Ka, it has a slight metalic fleck in it.

Here's where someone tells me that Vw was worth 1 million pounds.

I don't collect Vanguard models,but this appealed even though it's sans mirrors.

Very nice job on the Mercury, body mods and filling are so tedious, it annoys me enough just getting original bodies straight

Art imitating life etc... it could have had the mirrors knocked off after going down a footpath on a housing estate in Birkenhead driven by a gang of burglars, boot full of video recorders in 1991.

I’ll most likely be doing this one as a civilian car, you see loads of cop car versions but never normal ones in pretty colours!

Im not really a Mercedes guy tbh, but that one is fantastic looking, especially given it cost less than a tenner. Pick of the group for me that one!

I just bought a new display cabinet and of course I need to fill it! So I get the same problem with storing my die-cast all over again… 

Schabak Audi V8 and DeAgostini RAF and Volga. Some DeAgostini yank-shite and a Verem Ami 6 and a Princess 1800.

I think it’s part of the ‘unforgettable cars of Mexico’ collection.

US built as the Mercury Cougar, sold in Mexico as a Ford.

Some quality* die-cast found in the 2p machine yesterday. Put £4 worth in a different machine but came away empty handed.

The pickup seems one of the more difficult to find ones from that collection. It’s a nice short bed C10 though, one of the last of that type being an 80’s one when they started fitting fuel injection to the C10’s small block engines. I’d have liked an earlier square body version but I couldn’t find one.

The blue Impala is actually a Kinsmart one with pull back n go motor! In that respect it’s toy like, but the body and detail parts are much more model like. Strange really! It looks good though and it’s available in four colours too.

This arrived today. After loosing two Schabak T4s on a Swedish auction site I was quite depressed. The price went thru the roof on both of them and I just couldn’t justify it. But I found out that this plain white Caravelle was finishing a couple of days later. This time there was no bidding war so here it is.

I've sorted these out to put in my sale stock that's going to the Lakeland Motor Museum with me on Saturday, but if anyone here fancies anything...

BMW, red trailer and Fire Chief are a quid each, Merc and Citroen are 50p because they're incomplete.

Oh and @bunglebus I've found a couple of Dubs you might be  able to use.  Your box is filling up!  Gradually though, it's only up to 3 items so far.

As well as the aforementioned Viper from Aldi I got this Delta in my local Poundstretcher today - they had more of them if anyone is desperate.

They seemed to have some new (old) Matchbox stuff in too, including black Mercedes TE and red MR2s with lights up or down (didn't look closely enough to see if they had both LHD and RHD variants).

Those Schabaks are quite nice for the era that they were made. I've had a few vans in the past.
