Blimey. Would it be terribly cynical to pre-order this just in the hope that prices will go mental as soon as they're released? Seems like you can't even preorder some colours on the manufacturers website as they're already gone!

How much extra over the £189 do you reckon you could squeeze from someone on eBay?

If you buy all four they're just* £174 each... not sure how, as it seems like they've not been released, but this guy is trying for £325 for a gold one

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234702541658

which... might not be beyond belief when they're all sold out??? Dunno, if you could turn £700 into £1000 it'd be worth it I reckon

I’d stick them up at £500 each, someone would pay it.

I've never heard of this 'Cult' outfit before (as I'm really not interested in modern model cars) but they've deffo got the shite market sown up

Brown+Princess.jpg?auto=format&fit=max&w

CML157-2b.jpg

Not sure how many typical Marina owners would shell out £200 for one of those, but they do look nice.

I'm sure they're wonderful quality, handmade etc but to my eyes I just can't see that much difference from your bog-standard 1:24 partwork type model which costs £20 or whatever, which is more a reflection of how good modern model cars have got in recent years rather than anything against these Cult jobbies. For example:

I've only seen one Cult model in the metal (resin?) which was the Land Rover Discovery and I have to say that they're absolutely spot on. But then they should be for £200.

I've been playing with this

1 Matchbox Beach Buggy

2 Kinsmart Chevy pickup - Jon

3 Matchbox Mercury Cougar

5 Matchbox Baja Buggy

6 Corgi Sunbeam Imp

7 Matchbox Ford G.T.

8 Matchbox Safari Land Rover

8a Majorette Alfa Romeo 75 - Junkyarddog

9 Matchbox Stake Truck

10 Cararama MGB

11 Corgi 345 MGBGT

12 Matchbox Mack Dump Truck

13 Matchbox Mack Dump Truck - Jon

14 Matchbox DAF Tipper Container Truck

15 Matchbox Volkswagen 1500 Saloon

16 Matchbox Dodge Wreck Truck

17 Matchbox (Ford) Grit-Spreading Truck

18 Matchbox (GMC) Refrigerator Truck

19 Matchbox Lotus Super Seven

20 Matchbox Volkswagen 1600 TL

21 Corgi Land Rover 109 WB

22 Matchbox 8 Wheel Crane

23 Corgi Juniors Leyland Terrier

24 Matchbox Commer Bottle Float

25 Matchbox Mercedes Scaffold Truck

26 Corgi Juniors Ferrari 512S - Morrisoxide

The rest I'm struggling with, 4 and 13 are especially annoying as I recognise them (and 2 which is fairly modern). 26 is a right stinker that might be Hot Wheels but I can't see enough of it to work it out

4 is a Lone star Foden truck.

You've also numbered two of them 8.

One being a Majorette Alfa Romeo, the other Matchbox land rover😂

3 is a mid 50's Chevrolet pickup.

I think it's a GMC rather than a Chevy - I'm sure I've seen the casting before but can't ID it

You've literally just made the world's best Advent calendar (Boxing Day not included)

26 is a back right?

I think so - but the red paint in the recesses might be a red herring

Looks kinda like a Corvette but can't find any that look like that, there looks to be a circle on the rear like a spare wheel bump but it isn't a Stutz Blackhawk either

There's a spat type thing behind the wheelarch that might be a clue too

Is 26 a Corgi Juniors Ferrari 512s?

I have one somewhere I couldn't remember what it was to google it.

Yes! Glad you worked it out as I was about to start looking at all the Hot Wheels on Wiki from about 1970 onwards - it was the colour making me think that

If I get a chance I might do another one - found this pic online

Looks easy at first but there are some curve balls in there too

Right, have a crack at this. I've not numbered the green thing to the right of #19 as I don't think there's enough to ID it - prove me wrong

Suspect the green thing is a sliver of an Oxford Diecast Bullnose Morris van:

No idea about any of the rest, though...

Oh alright then - #19, very late example of the Lone Star Impy Roadmaster Ford Transit LWB Breakdown Truck.

One of my all-time favourites!

Love a challenge, me!

And fair play to @morrisoxide for guessing the Corgi Ferrari in the original pic - I was sure it was a Hot Wheels too. Excellent diecast spottage skills!
