Nice little Hot Wheels haul yesterday.

Firstly, B&M came up trumps. Thought I'd missed the yellow Volvo boat!

Great detailing on these road versions, especially the rear with the lights and badging,

I do like the later model Civics, especially the batshit-craziness of the Type R. I've already got a Nissan Silvia with this HKS livery, so it looks like this one's part of a series. Great....

Then across to Morrisons, and ticked a few more off the want list,

Finally got the little Gulf Porsche, 

A nice version of the  old Landcuiser. Looks nice and standard-ish, barring the wheels...

Not had a HW Roadrunner yet, and not seen this one in any of the previews.

Loving these slotmag style wheels on this one.

Didn't think I'd find one of these little  beasties either,

Lovely little thing, takes me back to getting a pack of little Zylmex cars with a toy garage as a kid, and a Honda N being one of them, (along with the Silver Shadow and MK1 Capri. Wish I still had those...)

Finally got the Eunos in the metallic red,

So, that completes another Then & Now pairing with the later MX5.

It seems they did mix and match and confused themselves....

The ones here are given 'range' names Road-Master Impy Super Cars, Road-Master Flyers, Road-Master Flyers Super Cars - or versions of each with words taken away and blanked-over on the base casting!  Yet the wheels are not consistent across the 'ranges'

There is one here but unbranded, came from Eddy.  Clearly a (ex) Zylmez casting as it has the same issue number on base 'HONDA 600 P-305 HONG KONG .  Is missing back bumper and restoration never did get started.  Quite rough but never seen another

Yes it was by the late Ryu Asada.  There are some posthumous designs that are to be released, if not already, not least the Raijin Express

A couple of arrivals - firstly this Ford tractor with permanently attached K-17 Dyson low-power trailer with Taylor Woodrow decals

It came with a pretty tidy Caper Cart, but once again has a broken bumper. I just need a good donor for my red one! Might have a go at fixing it with plastic card

Probably is an original Zylmex - the small stuff doesn't tend to have their name on the base, especially the later black plastic type. Very nice thing, I'd like one of them and a Playart

This one is a die-cast base with blank

I wonder if it's one of the Fujicar releases that doesn't mention Zee or Zylmex on the box?

Aye, it has the trademarks of one of his. I think the forthcoming Honda EK9 Type R was one of his last too. Probably another one I'll not find in the shops....

Ooh, lots to look forward to along with the HW Mk2 Escort. Presumably the Kadett will be an "Up Yours UK" job like the Capri, that we won't be able to get hold of!

No bloody doubt!

There looks to be a Matchbox mk2 MR2 prototype in the 2022 listings and a Mitsubishi 3000GT as well; the 3000GT seems a very Hot Wheels thing given recent releases but it is for Matchbox.

Those Lloyds are really cute. I came close to buying a rough one a while back, but just couldn't justify it (because I DON'T COLLECT TOY CARS). Really mint ones seem to go for only slightly less than I very nearly bought a real, live full-sized Lloyd Kombi for a couple of years back... still not sure if I dodged a bullet, or denied myself everlasting happiness with that one. Oh well.

In the spirt of forum karma, and following the lead taken by @Datsuncog I present TAT TUESDAY! 

Over the weekend I went to my first toyfair since 2019. As expected bad hygiene, ignorance, gazelles and sky high pricing were in attendance like the good old days 😁

There was however THIS - 5 for a 1£ 😳

Now despite being like a ferret down a diecast drainpipe, since studying my photos I’ve spotted so much more goodness! However I did raid this and a matching  £1 tray (the sheer decadence!) for the goodwill of the  forum 👍

So here goes, post in the thread the car and number, PM me some details if your tempted! Royal Mail on top obviously. 

First up the £1 selection, the Marzal has pillar damage, SM bent axles.

Then the 20p selection 😳

Nice selection there! Quite a few Novacars lurking in those tubs, as well as the Peugeot 605 you picked up.

Haven't been to a toyfair or swapmeet since about 2010, I don't think - I was driving my little green Polo breadvan at the time, so it must have been a right while ago.

I'd made enquiries with a local model club a few months ago, as I've still a lot of unwanted items crammed into the wardrobe, and the fella who runs it said he'd be sure to message me once the swapmeets were running again.

On checking today, it seems that the meets have now resumed, but on scanning down their Facebook page...

What the merry hell's going down in that club?!

Four members dead inside five months?

Have things now taken a much, much darker twist in Norn Iron diecast circles...?

And is The Nemesis something to do with it?

Got a new phone, with a better camera. Hopefully my pictures, especially those I take indoors, will be nicer now. Already found a nice feature that improves the close up stuff - old:

Lots more depth to the image now. Only downside is it cuts off the text on the bottom of the card when taking the usual shots I post. Used to be like this
