After reading this in the Autoshire the game thread I thought what other tat could autoshite fence a few knocked off boxes of on ebay?

The smell cartridge would be GR9 if it featured the aroma of Feu Orange air fresheners, especially if the game included cars that British families of the 1970s and 1980s commonly owned :D

Many a one of these were hung in my Dad's cars. Really would like to buy one, £1.50 online at Halfords :P

I want a Soundhog....

I'm sure you could get them in a moulded rubber, but with wheels instead of feet..... Am I dreaming?

I would like one of those "Wavey Hands" on a spring and rubber sucker that everyone (inc me) used to have in the 70's on their car window.

Oh and a 1979 "Dont Blame Me I voted Labour" coffin window sticker....

Does Paddy Hopkirk still sell all sorts of shite accessories?

You're getting Soundhogs and Groundhogs mixed up...

How about those hilarious trapped-in-the-boot plastic fingers...oh, and a Garfield.

We've Seen The Lions Of Longleat penant style stickers.

And stick on bullet holes...

I've Got A Tiger In My Tank stickers and faux fur tails from Esso.

Can you still get those rubber strips that hung from the rear bumper which were supposedly to stop car sickness?

Oh, and badge bars.

A couple of things;

You know those cheap cup holders that you shove down between the window & the door, well Summit Automotive used to make a matching triangular thing that you could use to hold a packet of sandwiches! I saw them advertised but could never find one.

And one of those fake Car Phones - like a kids squeaky toy, but without the squeak. The base unit stuck to the transmission tunnel with double sided tape & there was a curly cable to the handset - How I wish I'd not thrown mine away.

Not any more their entire stock:-

As you can see they are the newer type. I sent a mate in who perplexed the bloke behind the counter with the following conversation:-

"Can I help sir?"

"I'd like your stock of feu orange car freshners please"

"feu orange? We dont have any of those"

"you do, my mate in preston says you do"

"how would he know this?"

"because he has mystical powers above mere mortal comprehension"

"sorry sir, we dont have any"

"can you check please?"

and lo, he came back looking bewildered with these 3, all they had.

Ted you are 'LIVIN' THE DREAM! My Mrs hates any car air freshner, once caused a ruckus by lobbing a magic tree out a minicab before she barfed...

My mum and dad have a romantic feu orange story.

Someone had been sick in my dad's Escort just before his first date with my mum. So he set off a bunch of feu oranges to mask the smell, which made my mum carsick.
